Շատ դեպքերում միզապարկի հիվանդությամբ տառապող հիվանդները խուսափում են հեղուկի ընդունումից` միզարձակությունների քանակը պակասեցնելու նպատակով:
Քիչ քանակության մեզը փոքրացնում է միզապարկի ծավալը, ավելի զգայուն և ընկալունակ է դարձնում այն` մանրեների և բորբոքումների նկատմամբ: Քիչ ջուր խմելը կարող է հիվանդի վիճակը ավելի վատացնել:
Ուրոլոգիական հիվանդությունների բարդություններից խուսափելու համար պետք է պահպանել օրվա հեղուկի չափաքանակը: Այն պետք է կազմի տղամարդկանց համար` 3-3.5 լիտր, իսկ կանանց` 2-2.5լիտր:
Ցանկալի չէ խմել կոֆեին պարունակող ըմբելիքներ, քանի որ դրանք գրգռում են միզապարկը և խթանում` միզագոյացումը: Կոֆեին են պարունակում սուրճը, թեյը, էներգետիկ ըմպելիքները, կոկա-կոլան, շոկոլադը և այլն: Ալկոհոլային խմիչքները նույնպես գրգռիչ ազդեցություն ունեն միզապարկի վրա:
Մասնագետները խորհուրդ են տալիս խմել բնական ջուր, մրգային կամ տարբեր բուսական թեյեր: Կարևոր է օրական խմել մեկ փոքր բաժակի չափով լոռամրգի հատապտղի հյութ, որպեսզի կանխեք միզուղիների բորբոքումները: Խորհուրդ է տրվում հետևել մեզի գույնին: Եթե մեզը մուգ է, անհրաժեշտ է ավելացնել հեղուկի քանակը:
