Miss World Australia գեղեցկության մրցույթին առաջին անգամ մասնակցել Է սահմանափակ ֆիզիկական հնարավորություններ ունեցող կինը: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, գրում Է Daily Mail-ը: Ջասթին Քլարքը մասնակցել Է մրցույթի՝ Ավստրալիայի Ադելաիդայի նահանգում կայացած տարածաշրջանային եզրափակիչին:
26-ամյա Քլարկը նահանգի մակարդակով մրցույթի հաղթող չի դարձել եւ չի մասնակցելու ազգային փուլին: Բայց նա հայտարարել Է, որ գոհ Է մասնակցության բուն փաստից եւ կշարունակի իր գործունեությունը ի պաշտպանություն հաշմանդամների իրավունքների:
«Հաշմանդամի սայլակին գամված մեկի համար մրցույթին մասնակցելու հնարավորությունը մեծ քայլ Է: Ես հուսով եմ, որ սա կդառնա ուղերձ՝ անկախ ռասայից, հագուստի չափսից կամ ֆիզիկական սահմանափակումներից, այն ամենից, ինչով դուք տարբերվում եք, միեւնույն Է, դուքը գեղեցիկ եք»,- վստահություն Է հայտնել ավստրալուհին:
Նշվում Է, որ աղջիկը սայլակով Է տեղաշարժվում 2015 թվականից: Նա չի հայտնում այն հանգամանքների մասին, որոնք հանգեցրել են հաշմանդամության:
Մոտ ապագայում Քլարքը կզբաղվի մարդասիրական գործունեությամբ, կօգնի Children՚s Charity մանկական բարեգործական կազմակերպությանը, որի հետ համագործակցում Է մրցույթը:
Miss World-ը («Աշխարհի գեղեցկուհի») նմանօրինակ միջոցառումներից ամենահինն Է (անցկացվում Է 1951 թվականից), ինչպես նաեւ խոշորագույններից մեկը: Նրա նշանաբանն Է՝ Miss World («Իմաստալի գեղեցկություն»): Գործող «Աշխարհի գեղեցկուհի-2016»-ը Պուերտո Ռիկոյից սերված Ստեֆանի Դել Վալիեն Է:
