Միմյանց բարևելու ձևն ամբողջովին կախված է բարևող անձնաց բնակության վայրից, քանի որ տարբեր երկրներում այդ արարողությունը տարբեր ձևերով է արվում։

Ֆիլիպիններ
Ֆիլիպինցիները մի գեղեցիկ ժեստ ունեն՝ «մոնո» անվանմամբ, որով նրանք պատվում են մեծահասակներին։ Նրանք վերցնում են տարեց մարդկանց ձեռքը և մեղմ շարժումով հպում դա իրենց ճակատին։
Ճապոնիա
Ճապոնացիները միմյանց ողջունում են խոնարհվելով։ Խոնարհման տևողությունը և աստիճանը կախված է իրավիճակից։
Հնդկաստան
Հնդիկները ընդունում են ձեռքերի այս դիրքը և միմյանց ասում՝ «Նամաստե»։
Թայլանդ
Թայլանդում ողջույնը նման է հնդկականին. միակ տարբերությունն այն է, որ Թայլանդում ձեռքերը բարձացնում են միչև ճակատը և փոքր-ինչ խոնարհվում։
Ֆրանսիա
Ֆրանսիայում ընդունված է համբուրել դիմացինի այտերը հանդիպման ժամանակ։
Նոր Զելանդիա
Նոր Զելանդիայում կա հին ավանդույթ, ըստ որի՝ մարդիկ միմյանց ողջունում են քթերը և ճակատները միմյանց հպելով։
Բոտսվանա
Բոտսվանայում մարդիկ պետք է մի քանի պարզ գործողություն անեն՝ միմյանց քաղաքավարի ողջունելու համար։ Պետք է երկարացնել աջ ձեռքը, իսկ ձախ ձեռքը պահել աջ ձեռքի արմունկի վրա։ Ապա պետք է սեղմել դիմացինի ձեռքը և վերադառնալ սովորական կեցվածքին։
Մոնղոլիա
Մոնղոլիայում հյուրերին հադա (հատուկ սավան) են նվիրում՝ որպես հարգանքի նշան։ Այն պետք է զգուշությամբ ընդունել՝ երկու ձեռքերն օգտագործելով և փոքր-ինչ խոնարհվելով։
Սաուդյան Արաբիա
Սաուդյան Արաբիայում մարդիկ իրար բարևում են «աս սալամ ալայկում» ասելով, ինչը նշանակում է՝ «Թող խաղաղությունը քեզ հետ լինի»։ Դրանից հետո մարդիկ սովորաբար քթերով հպվում են իրար և ձեռքը դնում դիմացինի ուսին։
Տուվալու
Տուվալույում, երբ մարդիկ ողջունում են իրար, միմյանց են հպվում այտերով և խորը շունչ են քաշում։
Հունաստան
Հունաստանում ընդունված է մեղմ հարվածել դիմացինի ուսին կամ մեջքին՝ բարևելու ժամանակ։
Քենիա
Քենիայի մարտիկները նորեկներին ողջունելիս նրանց շրջանի մեջ են առնում, ինչից հետո մրցում են, որպեսզի պարզեն, թե ով ավելի բարձր կցատկի։
Մալազիա
Մալազիայում սովորաբար միմյանց մատները իրար են հպում, ինչից հետո ձեռքը դնում են սրտին։
Տիբեթ
Տիբեթյան մարդիկ փոքր-ինչ դուրս են հանում իրենց լեզուները, որպեսզի ապացուցեն, որ 9-րդ դարում գահակալած դաժան թագավորի վերածնված մարմնավորումը չեն։ Այդ թագավորի լեզուն սև էր։
