Ազգային ժողովի առաջիկա ընտրությունների օրը փոխելու որոշում պետք է կայացնեն առաջադրված բոլոր կուսակցությունները: Փետրվարի 17-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանն այս մասին ասաց ՀՀ կառավարության աշխատակազմի ղեկավար-նախարար Դավիթ Հարությունյանը:

«Ընտրության օրվա հետ կապված ավելի բան չունեմ ասելու: Հայաստանի Հանրապետության  Նախագահը շատ հստակ այդ մասին խոսել է: Այս պահին 9 ուժ հայտ է ներկայացրել: Կարծում եմ, որ քննարկումներ կսկսվեն այդ ուժերի հետ»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` նշեց Հարությունյանը:

Նա հավելեց, որ ընտրությունների օրը փոխելու վերաբերյալ վերջնական որոշում պետք է կայացնեն բոլոր կուսակցությունները և դաշինքները, որոնք մասնակցելու հայտ են ներկայացրել:

ՀՀ Նախագահը, հիմք ընդունելով ՀՀ ընտրական օրենսգրքի 103-րդ հոդվածը, 2016թ. դեկտեմբերի 29-ի հրամանագրով ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի հերթական ընտրությունը նշանակել է 2017թ. ապրիլի 2-ին: ՀՀ Սահմանադրության (2015 թվականի փոփոխություններով) 5-րդ հոդվածի երկրորդ մասը սահմանում է, որ ենթաօրենսդրական նորմատիվ իրավական ակտերը (այդ թվում՝ ՀՀ Նախագահի հրամանագրերը) պետք է համապատասխանեն ՀՀ օրենքներին և սահմանադրական օրենքներին: ՀՀ Սահմանադրության (2015 թվականի փոփոխություններով) 103-րդ հոդվածի 2-րդ մասի համաձայն՝ ՀՀ ընտրական օրենսգիրքը սահմանադրական օրենք է և ընդու նվում է պատգամավորների ընդհանուր թվի ձայների առնվազն երեք հինգերորդով: ՀՀ ընտրական օրենսգրքի 103-րդ հոդվածի 1-ին մասը նախատեսում է, որ ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի հերթական ընտրությունն անցկացվում է ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի լիազորությունների ավարտից (այսինքն՝ 2017 թվականի մայիսի 31-ից) ոչ շուտ, քան 60 օր, և ոչ ուշ, քան 50 օր առաջ (ապրիլի 1-ից մինչև 11-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածում):
