Անցած 2016 թվականն ամենաաղքատն Է դարձել նավթի եւ գազի բացված հանքավայրերի քանակով. ընդամենը 174՝ նախորդ վեց տասնամյակներում տարեկան միջինը 400 – 500-ի դիմաց: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հաղորդվում Է Միացյալ Նահանգների IHS Markit խորհրդատվական ընկերության հաշվետվության մեջ, որին վկայակոչում Է Financial Times-ը (FT):
Նավթի-գազի ընկերությունները կրճատել են ներդրումները հետախուզման բնագավառում: Բացի դրանից, խոշոր հանքավայրեր հայտնաբերելը տարեցտարի ավելի ու ավելի Է բարդանում, պարզաբանում են փորձագետները: Նրանք անցյալ տարի հայտնաբերված պաշարների միագումար ծավալը գնահատում են ընդամենը 8,2 միլիարդ բարել նավթային համարժեքով:
Հայտնաբերման պահից մինչեւ արդյունահանումն սկսելը անցնում Է միջին հաշվով հինգ - յոթ տարի, նշել Է FT-ն: Ուստի նավթահետախուզման բնագավառում ճգնաժամը կարող Է հանգեցնել այն բանին, որ Էներգակիրների աճող պահանջմունքը առաջիկա տասնամյակում կապահովի ամերիկյան թերթաքարային նավթը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
