150 գրամ բրնձի մեջ ճարպերը ոչ ավելի են, քան հացի 1/3-ում, սակայն սպիտակուցն այնքան է, որքան 1 բաժակ կաթում, կալցիում`որքան 1 լոլիկում, մագնեզիումը`որքան ծնեբեկի 5 ցողունում: Եփած բրնձի օգտակար բաղադրիչների ցանկը հավելվում են B և E խմբի վիտամինները, երկաթը:

Հայտնի է, որ բրնձով օրգանիզմի մաքրումը նպաստում է նյութափոխանակության կարգավորմանը և ավելորդ կիլոգրամներից ազատվելուն: Դիեոտոլոգները խորհուրդ են տալիս առավոտյան բրինձը ուտելուց հետո նախընտրելի է ոչինչ չուտել և չխմել մոտ 3 ժամ: Այս մեթոդը կօգնի նաև ազատվել մեջքի, հոդերի ու պարանոցի ցավերից, կանխում է քաղծկեղը, սակայն արդյունքը միանգամից չի նկատվի, քանի որ այս բուժումն ազդում է աստիճանաբար:
