 Փետրվարի 7-ը համացանցում հայատառ գրելու օր սահմանելու նախաձեռնությունը մեկնարկել է 2012 թվականի փետրվարի 7-ին,  ֆեյսբուքի օգտատեր Զոհրապ Եգանյանի կողմից արված մեկ գրառումով: Այն պետք է սկիզբ դներ վիրտուալ հարթակներում մեսրոպատառ հայերենի տարածմանը: Նախաձեռնությանն այս ընթացքում միացել են բազմաթիվ անհատներ ու կազմակերպություններ։ Հայատառ գրելու կոչ արվել է նաև Ազգային ժողովում։ Բջջային օպերատորներից մեկն իր բաժանորդներին արդեն ուղարկում է հայատառ կարճ հաղորդագրություններ, թեման հետաքրքրել է նաև արտասահմանյան մամուլին։

Լուծված են նաև մեսրոպատառ հայերենով  գրելուն խոչընդոտող տեխնիկական հարցերը՝ համացանցին միացող բոլոր տեսակի սարքերից այսօր կարելի է գրել մեսրոպատառ հայերեն, անվճար հասանելի են նաև համապատասխան ծրագրերը: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` Տ. Զաքարիա վարդապետ Բաղումյանն իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում նշել է, որ համացանցում հայատառ գրելու օրը գործնական հայրենասիրության մի տեսակ է: Նրա դիտարկմամբ`համացանցում հայերեն գրելն ամեն մեկի սրբազան պարտքը պետք է լինի, սկզբունքը և հստակ դիրքորոշումը:
«Աստվածատուր մեսրոպատառ հայոց լեզուն հայի ինքնության անքակտելի մասն է, որի կորուստը կամ չիմացությունը մեծավ մասամբ հային կտրում է իր արմատներից:

Անընդունելի են հայերեն չգրելու բոլոր պատճառաբանությունները, քանզի այսօր հեշտությամբ կարելի է այդ խնդիրը լուծել: Սա հարգանք է մեր լեզվի, ազգի, նախնիների և հենց մեր հանդեպ… Տեսեք՝ ինչքա¯ն գումարներ ենք ծախսում, ճիգ ու ջանք ներդնում որևէ օտար լեզու սովորելու համար, բայց այս ամենը չպետք է լինի մեր մայրենի լեզվի հաշվին: Սիրե՛նք և փայփայենք մեր լեզուն, քաջ տիրապետե՛ նք մայրենիին և այսուհետև միայն հայատառ գրենք համացանցում»,- նշել է վարդապետը ֆեյսբուքյան գրառման մեջ:
