Ֆրանսիայի նախկին վարչապետ Ֆրանսուա Ֆիյոնը, որը մտադիր Է «Հանրապետականներ» կուսակցությունից իր թեկնածությունն առաջադրել հանրապետության նախագահի գարնանային ընտրություններում, խլել Է նախաձեռնությունն իր ընդդիմախոսներից: Նախկին վարչապետն ապահովել Է իր կուսակցության աջակցությունը եւ կշարունակի նախընտրական մարաթոնը: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, փարիզյան վերլուծաբաններն այսպես են գնահատում նոր շրջադարձը Ֆրանսիայում նախընտրական արշավի ծավալման մեջ: 

62-ամյա քաղաքական գործիչը փետրվարի 6-ին հանգամանալի բացատրություններ Է տվել տարբեր գործերի վերաբերյալ, որոնք վերջին երկու շաբաթում հանգեցրին նրա վարկանիշի լուրջ անկման: Դա վերաբերում Է նախեւառաջ այն վճարումների չափերի շուրջ ծավալված սկանդալին, որոնք Պենելոպա Ֆիյոնն ստացել Է որպես ամուսնու խորհրդարանական կցորդ աշխատելու ընթացքում: Նախկին վարչապետին մեկ ժամից պակաս ժամանակ Է պահանջվել ֆրանսիական մամուլի մի շարք սուր հարցերի փաստարկված պատասխանելու համար: Այսպես, նա բավականին մանրամասն պատմել Է այն աշխատանքի մասին, որը նրա կինը կատ արել Է որպես պատգամավորի օգնական եւ հիմնավորել Է նրան վճարված գումարները:

Քաղաքական վերլուծաբանները պատշաճն են մատուցել փաստարկների այն համակարգին, որը կառուցել Էր «Հանրապետականների» թեկնածուն: «Ֆիյոնը խոսում Էր համոզիչ, պարզ, հստակ պատասխանում Էր հարցերին»,-նշել Է քաղաքագետ Լորան Նեմանը: Նրա կարծիքով՝ նախագահի թեկնածուի ելույթի կոնսպեկտը «նախապատրաստված Էր ամենայն մանրակրկիտությամբ, յուրաքանչյուր բառը կշռադատված Էր, նորից ու նորից մտածված քաղաքական գործիչների, փաստաբանների ու մերձավոր շրջապատի կողմից»: 
Նախագահի թեկնածուն իր ելույթը հասցեագրել Էր, նախեւառաջ, սեփական քաղաքական ճամբարին՝ աջերին ու կենտրոնամետներին՝ նպատակ ունենալով կուսակցական աջակցության համախմբումը: «Դա Ֆիյոնն Էր հարձակվելիս, հակագրոհելիս»,-ասել Է հայտնի հեռուստատեսային մեկնաբան Աննա Կաբանան: Նրա կարծիքով՝ քաղաքական գործիչը պարզորոշ հասկանալ տվեց իր ճամբարին՝ «կամ ես, կամ քաոսը»: 
BFM TV հեռուստաալիքի քաղաքական ծառայության գլխավոր խմբագիր Թիերի Առնոն հիշեցրել Է, որ անցած շաբաթվա վերջին աջ կենտրոնամետների ճամբարում կասկածի բավականին ուժեղ ձայներ Էին հնչում: «Բայց այլընտրական թեկնածու այդպես Էլ չհայտնվեց: Ֆրանսուա Ֆիյոնը դա ի գիտություն ընդունեց»,-նշել Է նա, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
