ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանի՝ հունվարի 31-ից փետրվարի 2-ը Իրան կատարած այցը արտաքին քաղաքականության ոլորտի ամենակարեւոր իրադարձություններից էր, որը դրական կանդրադառնա թե Հայաստանում, թե տարածաշրջանում ստեղծված ընդհանուր պատկերին: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նման կարծիք հայտնեց քաղաքագետ Վիգեն Սարգսյանը:
«Այս անգամ այցն ուներ առանձնահատուկ նշանակություն եւ ուշադրություն՝ հատկապես ընդունող Իրանի վերաբերմունքից ելնելով: Բացատրությունը պարզ եւ հասկանալի է. դա առաջին հերթին Ադրբեջանի եւ Իսրայելի ակտիվացող ռազմատեխնիկական համագործակցությունն է: Բացի այդ, այն հանգամանքը, որ Իրանն այլեւս չի հանդիսանում միջուկային պատժամիջոցների տակ գտնվող երկիր, նույնպես գործընկեր երկրների հետ համագործակցության ակտիվացման հնարավորություն է ստեղծում: Ինչո՞ւ չէ, հնարավոր է ունենանք նաեւ որոշ զարգացումներ պաշտպանական եւ անվտանգության ոլորտներու մ: Ինչ վերաբերում է Արցախին, ապա Իրանի դիրքորոշումը բալանսավորված է, ինչը բխում է թե Հայաստանի, թե Արցախի շահերից»,-եզրափակեց քաղաքագետը:
