Գյումրու պատմական կենտրոնի վերակառուցման ֆոնդի առաջին նվիրատուն վարչապետ Կարապետյանն է

   Գյումրու պատմական կենտրոնի զարգացման ծրագրին և «Շիրակ» օդանավակայանի աշխատանքներին ծանոթանալու նպատակով փետրվարի 3-ին աշխատանքային այցով Գյումրիում էր ՀՀ վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանը: Վարչապետին ուղեկցում էին այն բոլոր գործարարները, ովքեր հետաքրքրված են Գյումրիում իրականացվելիք ներդրումային ծրագրերով: 

Առաջին ներդրումային ծրագիրը կապված է Գյումրու «Շիրակ» օդանավակայանի հետ: Ավիաընկերությունների հետաքրքրությունը բարձրացնելու համար օդանավակայանում   բարեփոխումներ կիրականացվեն արգենտինացի ներդրողի կողմից՝   նախնական 2,5 միլիոն դոլարի ներդրումային աշխատանքներ արդեն մեկնարկել են: Լրագրողների այն հարցին, թե արդյո՞ք իրատեսական է ներդրումային այդ ծրագիրը, «Արմենիա միջազգային օդանավակայաններ»  ընկերության գլխավոր տնօրեն Մարսելո Վենդեն վստահեցրեց, որ իրենց հայտարարած բոլոր ծրագրերը իրականություն են դառնում։
Օդանավակայանից Կարեն Կարապետյանը պատվիրակության հետ միասին այցելեց Գյումրու գարեջրի ածիկի գործարան, ապա եղավ «Լոֆթ» ժամանցի կենտրում։ Բարձրաստիճան հյուրերը հետո ոտքով շարժվեցին դեպի «Կումայրի» արգելոց, շրջեցին Շիրազի և Ռուսթավելու փողոցներում, Աբովյան ճեմափողոցում։ Պատվիրակության վերջին կանգառը Գյումրու Տեխնոլոգիական կենտրոնն էր, որտեղ ներկաներին ավելի մանրամասն ներկայացվեց «Գյումրու պատմական կենտրոն»-ի զարգացման ծրագիրը: Մինչ ծրագրի բուն մեկնարկը ստեղծվելու է ֆոնդ և կառավարիչ: Ֆոնդի ներդրումային փաթեթն այ ս պահին 10 միլիոն դոլար է՝ տարբեր աղբյուրներից: Ծրագիրն իրականացվելու է փուլային կարգով:  
 
«Այսօր շատ բարձր տրամադրությամբ ենք եկել Գյումրի, ինչի համար նախ շնորհակալ ենք այն գործարարներին, ովքեր ցանկություն հայտնեցին միանալ մեզ: Այս ծրագիրը նախ և առաջ Գյումրիում կլինի տրամադրություն փոխող ծրագիր: Կարծում եմ հենց այսօր մենք սրանով մեկնարկ կտանք մեծ ներդրումային ծրագրի, որը բավական հետաքրքիր  է: Ցավոք սրտի, ես բիզնեսով զբաղվելու հնարավորություն չունեմ, բայց ես խնդրել եմ իմ ընտանիքի անդամներին, որպեսզի իրենք էլ ներդրում անեն»,- նշեց ՀՀ վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանը: 
Ֆոնդի առաջին  ներդրողը ՀՀ վարչապետն էր՝ Կարապետյան ընտանիքի անունից 500 հազար դոլար ներդրումով:
