Քաղցկեղի դեմ պայքարելու եւ այն հաղթահարելու միակ միջոցը հիվանդության կանխարգելումն է: Լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը քաղցկեղի դեմ պայքարի օրվա կապակցությամբ հրավիրված ասուլիսում այս մասին ասաց Հայ-ամերիկյան առողջության կենտրոնի գործադիր տնօրեն Խաչանուշ Հակոբյանը:
Նա նշեց, որ 2016 թվականին Հայ-ամերիկյան առողջության կենտրոնն ունեցել է 40 հազար 615 այցելու, կատարվել է 48 հազար 780 հետազոտում, որից 17 հազար 208-ը՝ կրծքագեղձի հետ կապված: Հետազոտվող 819 կնոջ մոտ ախտորոշվել է կրծքագեղձի քաղցկեղ: «Հետազոտված 152 տղամարդկանցից 4-ի մոտ է հայտնաբերվել կրծքագեղձի քաղցկեղ: Վահանաձև գեղձի շուրջ 2000 հետազոտություն է կատարվել, որի արդյունքում գրանցվել է 105 քաղցկեղի դեպք: 12 կնոջ մոտ ախտորոշվել է արգանդի պարանոցի քաղցկեղ, իսկ 15-ի մոտ արգանդի պարանոցի նախաքաղցկեղային վիճակ»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմ ամբ, ասաց նա:
Խաչանուշ Հակոբյանն ընդգծեց, որ կանայք ավելի հակված են բժշկի գնալու, քան տղամարդիկ: «Եթե տղամարդիկ սկսեն ավելի շատ դիմել բժշկի, մենք ավելի լավ արդյունքներ կգրանցենք եւ ավելի շատ մարդկային կյանքեր կփրկենք»,-ասաց Խաչանուշ Հակոբյանը՝ հավելելով, որ կենտրոնի 20 տարվա գործունության ընթացքում 7000 մարդկային կյանք է փրկվել:
Բանախոսը կոչ արեց ժամանակին դիմել բժշկի և կանխարգելել նոր սկսվող քաղցկեղը:
