Աֆղանստանի Բալխ գավառում բնակվող 23-ամյա կինը BBC-ին պատմել է, թե ինչպես է ամուսինն իրեն կապել եւ կտրել երկու ականջները: Նա այժմ հիվանդանոցում է, վիճակը կայուն է:

«Ես ոչ մի մեղք չեմ գործել: Չգիտեմ, թե ամուսինս ինչու է ինձ հետ այդպես վարվել»,- ասել է Զարինան:

Նրա խոսքով՝ հարձակումը հանկարծակի է կատարվել, իրեն արթնացնելուց հետո: Նա նաեւ ասել է, որ ամուսնացել է 13 տարեկանում, որ ամուսնու հետ երբեք լավ հարաբերություններ չի ունեցել: Tolo News պարբերականի հետ հարցազրույցում Զարինան դժգոհել է, որ ամուսինը դեմ էր, որ իր ծնողներին տեսակցի: «Նա շատ կասկածամիտ մարդ է, նրանք հաճախ են ինձ մեղադրել, որ երբ ծնողներիս մոտ եմ գնում, զրուցում եմ օտար տղամարդկանց հետ»,- ասել է Զարինան:

Ոստիկանության ներկայացուցիչները նշել են, որ հարձակումից հետո կնոջ ամուսինը տանից փախել է եւ այժմ հետախուզվում է:
