Սիրիայի ընդդիմությանը, որը նախնական պայմաններ Է առաջադրում բանակցությունների համար, անհրաժեշտ Է համբերատար հրավիրել բանակցային գործընթացի, բայց չհամոզել: Հունվարի 30-ին այս մասին հայտարարել Է Ռուսաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով ՏԱՍՍ-ին:
«Ես կարծում եմ, որ նրանք, ովքեր շահագրգռված են սիրիական ճգնաժամի կարգավորման եւ այնպիսի պայմանների ստեղծման հարցում, երբ սիրիացիներն իրենք կկարողանան որոշել, թե ինչպիսին են նրանք ցանկանում տեսնել իրենց երկիրը, բոլորը պետք Է արձագանքեն բանակցային գործընթացին մասնակցելու հրավերին,- ասել Է նախարարը:- Նրանց, ովքեր առաջադրում են պայմաններ, որոնք նախատեսված չեն ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի բանաձեւերով, կարծում եմ, անհրաժեշտ Է համբերատար շարունակել հրավիրել, բայց չհորդորել կամ չհամոզել»:
Լավրովը նաեւ հայտարարել Է, որ ՌԴ-ն ԱՄՆ-ի հետ կպարզի Սիրիայում անվտանգության գոտների ստեղծման թեման: ՌԴ-ն հնարավոր Է համարում մտածել Սիրիայի տարածքում ներքին տեղահանվածների բնակատեղիների ստեղծման մասին, նաեւ հայտարարել Է Ռուսաստանի ԱԳ նախարարը:
