Հայոց բանակը մեր պետության ամենակայացած, ամենաառանցքային և կենսունակ կառույցն է: «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նման կարծիք հայտնեց Ազգային ժողովի Հանրապետական խմբակցության պատգամավոր Խոսրով Հարությունյանը:
«Հայոց բանակի կենսագրությունն ուղղակիորեն կապված է մեր պետականության կենսագրության հետ: Ազատագրական, ֆիդայական շարժման արդյունքում վերածնվեց մարտունակ, հզոր և իր ժողովրդին նվիրյալ մի կառույց: Սա բոլորիս ձեռքբերումն է, քանզի բանակը նախ և առաջ յուրաքանչյուր քաղաքացու ուղղակի կամ անուղղակի մասնակցության արդյունք է: Յուրաքանչյուր քաղաքացի՝ երիտասարդ թե ծեր, ակամայից մասնակցում է մեր բանակաշինության գործընթացին»,- նշեց Հարությունյանը: Պատգամավորը հատկապես կարևորեց հայկական բանակի մարտական ոգին, որը առավելագույն դրսևորվեց քառօրյա պատերազմի ժամանակ:
«Յուրաքանչյուր քաղաքացի թեպետ ցավում էր մեր հերոսների համար, սակայն մեծ հպարտություն էր ապրում, որ այսպիսի զավակներ է մեծացրել: Եթե ինձ հարցնեն, որն է ամենամեծ ձեռքբերումը, ես կպատասխանեմ `քառօրյա պատերազմի երիտասարդությունը»,- ընդգծեց Հարությունյանը:
Խոսրով Հարությունյանը կարևորեց նաև ազգ-բանակ գաղափարը: «Այսինքն` մենք բոլորս մեկ միասնականություն ենք: Մենք պետք է ապրենք բանակով, բանակը մեզնով: Ազգ-բանակը նախ և առաջ հայրենասիրության և հայրենիքի պաշտպանության կոչ է: Յուրաքանչյուր քաղաքացի պետք է աշխատի երկրի անվտանգության և պաշտպանության բարձրացման համար»,- եզրափակեց Հարությունյանը:
Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը և աշխարհասփյուռ հայությունը հունվարի 28-ին նշում է հայկական բանակի կազմավորման 25-րդ տարեդարձը: 1992թ. հունվարի 28-ին Կառավարությունը ընդունեց «Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Պաշտպանությաննախարարության մասին» պատմական որոշում` դրանով իսկ իրավականորեն ազդարարելով Հայոց Ազգային բանակի ստեղծումը: 1992թ. մայիսին պաշտպանության նախարարությունը սկսեց առաջին զորակոչը հանրապետության տարածքում` հիմք դնելովբանակը ժամկետային զինծառայողներով համալրելու կայուն ավանդույթին:
