ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարը հստակ դիրքորոշում ունի ԼՂ հակամարտության վերաբերյալ

Միացյալ Նահանգների նորանշանակ պետքարտուղար Ռեքս Թիլերսոնը պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել աշխատելու Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի հետ` հանուն Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարը հայտնում է, որ այս մասին Թիլերսոնը հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ Սենատի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովում պետքարտուղարի պաշտոնում նշանակման քննարկումների ժամանակ:
«Եթե ես ստանձնեմ պետքարտուղարի պաշտոնը, կաշխատեմ Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունների հետ` հանուն խաղաղ, երկարատև լուծում գտնելու, որը թույլ կտա տարածաշրջանում հաստատել կայունություն և բարգավաճում: Այս գործընթացում առաջին քայլը պետք է լինի վստահության հաստատումը, այն կերաշխավորի, որ կողմերի միջև հաստատված համաձայնությունները հարգվեն»,- նշել է Թիլերսոնը:
Պատասխանելով սենատոր Էդ Մարքեյի հարցին, թե ինչ քայլեր կձեռնարկի ապագա պետքարտուղարը` դադարեցնելու Թուրքիայի կողմից Հայաստանի շրջափակումը, Թիլերսոնն ասել է. «Կողմերի հետ իմ քննարկումների ժամանակ ես կաջակցեմ Հայաստանի ու Թուրքիայի միջև դիվանագիտական, տնտեսական և քաղաքացիական հասարակությունների միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորմանը: Տարածաշրջանում ԱՄՆ առաջնորդությունը և հանձնառությունը կնպաստի անհրաժեշտ վստահության հաստատմանը` հանուն Հայաստանի ու Թուրքիայի միջև հարաբերությունների բարելավման»: Նա հայտնել է նաև, որ կերաշխավորի կրոնական փոքրամասնությունների և նրանց սեփականության իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը` այդ թվում և Թուրքիայի հայկական համայնքի:
ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի թեկնածուն հայտարարել է, որ Միացյալ Նահանգների շահերից է բխում Հայաստանի հետ առևտրային հարաբերությունների զարգացումը:
