Իտալիայում հյուրանոցում ձնահոսքից զոհվածների թիվը հասել է 16-ի։ Եւս 13 մարդ անհետ կորած է համարվում, հայտնում է The Local-ը։
Պարբերականի խոսքով, որոնողական գործողությունը արդեն վեց օր է շարունակվում է։ Փրկարարների խոսքով, իրենք մարդկանց ողջ գտնելու հույսները չեն կորցնում։
Ձնահոսքը Rigopiano–ն ծածկել էր հունվարի 18-ին, հյուրանոցի վրա 120 հազար տոննա ձյուն էր թափվել։ Այդ պահին ներսում 40 մարդ կար։ Ձնե զանգվածների փլման պատճառը մի շարք ստորգետնյա ցնցումներն էին, որոնք տեղի էին ունեցել Գրան Սասսո դ՝ Իտալիա լեռնային զանգվածի շրջանում։ 5․3-ից մինչեւ 5․5 մագնիտուդով երեք երկրաշարժ էր գրանցվել այդ նույն օրը առավոտյան։ Փրկել հաջողվել է միայն իննին, եւս երկու տղամարդ այդ օրը հյուրանոցի սահմաններից դուրս էին գտնվում։
