Մեզանից հազար տարի առաջ ապրած մարդիկ երբեմն ստեղծել են այնպիսի կառույցներ, որոնք մինչ օրս անհավանական են թվում։ Այդ կառույցները այնքան վիթխարի են, որ մինչ օրս չի հաջողվում պարզել, թե ինչպես են մեր նախնիները կառուցել դրանք։

Համաձայն անգլիական էպոսի՝ այս կառույցը ստեղծել է հրաշագործ Մերլինը, սակայն իրականում այն ստեղծվել է շատ ավելի վաղ, քան ենթադրաբար ապրել է հրաշագործը։ Հաստատ է միայն այն, որ գիտնականները չեն կարողանում հասկանալ, թե ինչպես են տեղափոխվել այդ վիթխարի քարերը, և թե ինչպես է օգտագործվել կառույցը։

Վաղեմի քաղաքի ամենալավ պահպանված մասերից մեկը այս ահռելի տաճարն է։ Սակայն գիտնականները չեն հասկանում, թե ինչպես են հռոմեացիները կարողացել 1000 տոննա զանգվածով քարերը տեղափոխել և օգտագործել որպես կառույցի հիմք։ Շատերը պնդում են, որ հենց սա է Բաբելոնի աշտարակի հիմքը, սակայն իրականությունը դեռևս անհայտ է։
Նյուգրենջ, Իռլանդիա
Չնայած որ այս հուշարձանը հայտնաբերվել է 17-րդ դարում, դրա ուսումնասիրությունները սկսվել են հայտնաբերումից միայն 300 տարի անց։ Արդյունքում պարզվել է, որ կառույցը անթերի շրջան է, որը ավելի հին է, քան Եգիպտական բուրգերը։ Շրջանի կենտրոնում դամբարան է կառուցված: Իսկ ամենահետաքրքիրն այն է, որ արևադարձի օրերին դամբարանն ամբողջովին լուսավորվում է բնական լույսով։ Հին իռալանդական էպոսը պնդում է, որ հենց սա է էլֆերի և փորիների աշխարհ տանող դուռը։

Խաղաղ օվկիանոսում գտնվող այս փոքրիկ կղզու ողջ տարածով մեկ սփռված են հսկայական արձաններ։ Կան փաստեր, որոնց համաձայն՝ այս արձանները տեղափոխվել և շրջվել են։ Թե ինչպես է դա արվել, գաղտնիք է, քանի որ այս կառույցների հեղինակների հետնորդները բնաջնջվել են ստրկատիրական ժամանակաշրջանում։

Անապատում գտնվող այս հսկայական արձանը ամենամեծ հանելուկն է։ Կար վարկած, որ սա փարավոնների ձեռքի գործն է, սակայն պարզվել է, որ նրանք միայն վերականգնել են արձանը։ Գիտնականները չեն կարողանում ուսումնասիրել արձանը և դրա տակ եղած սենյակները պետական արգելքի պատճառով։
