 Թուրքիայի Ազգային մեծ ժողովում երկրորդ ընթերցմամբ ընդունվել են Սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների առաջարկի առաջին յոթ հոդվածները: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին տեղեկացնում թուրքական «Անադոլու» գործակալությունը:

Փոփոխությունները նախատեսում են, որ մեջլիսի պատգամավորների թիվը պետք է 550-ից դարձվի 600: Պատգամավոր ընտրվելու տարիքը 25-ից իջեցվելու է 18-ի: Բացի այդ, զինվորականության հետ կապ ունեցողներն այդ հոդվածով չեն կարողանալու դառնալ պատգամավոր: Մեջլիսի ընտրությունները պետք է անցկացվեն ոչ թե 4, այլ 5 տարին մեկ: 5 տարին մեկ են անցկացվելու նաև նախագահական ընտրությունները: Ընդ որում, երկու ընտրություններն էլ այսուհետ պետք է անցկացվեն միևնույն օրը:

Այսուհետև նախագահ ընտրվող անձը չպետք է լինի անկուսակցական: Թուրքիայում նախագահ կարող է ընտրվել 40 տարին լրացած, բարձրագույն կրթություն ունեցող, պատգամավոր ընտրվելու պայմաններին բավարարող, Թուրքիայի քաղաքացիություն ունեցող անձը: Նա պաշտոնավարելու է 5 տարի ժամկետով: Ընդ որում, մեկ անձն առավելագույնը կարող է ընտրվել երկու անգամ: Նախագահ ընտրված անձը պետք է վայր դնի պատգամավորական մանդատը: Նա պետք է քվեարկության առաջին փուլում ստանա ձայների բացարձակ մեծամասնությունը`  նախագահ դառնալու համար: Եթե բացարձակ մեծամասնություն չի ստացել, ա պա ընտրություններին հաջորդող երկրորդ կիրակի օրը նոր քվեարկություն պետք է անցկացվի, որին պետք է մասնակցեն նախորդ ընտրության ժամանակ առավելագույն ձայներ ստացած երկու թեկնածուները: Այս ընտրություններում արդեն հաղթող է ճանաչվում վավեր քվեների մեծամասնությունը ստացած թեկնածուն: Եթե ինչ-ինչ պատճառով երկրորդ քվեարկության ժամանակ մնում է միայն մեկ թեկնածու, ապա քվեարկությունն իրականացվում է հանրաքվեի տեսքով: Թեկնածուն այդ դեպքում պետք է հավաքի ձայների բացարձակ մեծամասնությունը, այլապես պետք է անցկացվեն նախագահի նոր ընտրություններ: Եթե ընտրությունները չեն իրականացվում, և նոր նախագահ հնարավոր չի լինում ընտրել, ապա գործող նախագահը շարունակում է պաշտոնավարումը:
