Պենտագոնը դեմ է WikiLeaks–ի իրազեկիչ Չելսի Մենինգի դատավճռի մեղմացմանը

Պենտագոնի հեռացող ղեկավար Էշթոն Կարտերը, ինչպես նաեւ ամերիկյան բանակի բարձրագույն հրամանատարական կազմը դեմ է հանդես եկել WikiLeaks–ի իրազեկիչ Չելսի Մենինգի դատավճիռը մեղմելու՝ նախագահ Բարաք Օբամայի որոշմանը, հաղորդում է Foxnews–ը։
Ակնկալվում է, որ Օբաման կրկին հանդես կգա որոշման օգտին իր ամփոփիչ մամուլի ասուլիսում, հաշվի առնելով այն հանգամանքը, որ օրենսդիրներից շատերը քննադատել են նրան այս հարցում, պնդելով, թե այն «վտանգավոր նախադեպ է ստեղծում»։
Fox News–ի աղբյուրները նշում են հսկայական վնասը, որ հասցվել էր Մենինգի մասնակցությամբ WikiLeaks–ին տրամադրած նյութերի հրապարակումից։ «Դեսպաններ են հրաժարական տվել, ԿՀՎ–ի ստորաբաժանումների ղեկավարներ հետ կանչվել, բացահայտվել են են գաղտնի դիվանագիտական կապի աղբյուրներ», – հայտարարել է պաշտոնյաներից մեկը։
Բացի այդ, պարզվել է, որ Մենինգի «շնորհիվ» գաղտնազերծվել է ոչ թե 250 հազար, ինչպես նշում էին պաշտոնատար անձինք, այլ ՝ 750 հազար փաստաթուղթ: Պաշտպանության ոլորտի ներկայացուցիչները նշում են, թե Մենինգի գործողությունները արագացրել են «արաբական գարունը», եւ, հնարավոր է, նպաստել են «Իսլամական պետության» հզորացմանը։
