Սիրելի հայրենակիցներ.
դուք գիտեք, որ ես երբեք չեմ ձգտել իշխանության, մշտապես ասել եմ և շարունակում եմ կրկնել, որ չեմ ցանկանում զբաղեցնել որևէ պաշտոն՝ հանուն փառքի և սեփական ամբիցիաների: 2015 թվականի փետրվարյան հայտնի դեպքերից հետո ես փակեցի քաղաքական գործունեության իմ էջը՝ թույլ չտալով, որպեսզի ժողովրդի խաղաղ ու արդարացի պոռթկումը վերածվի առճակատման և արյունահեղության: Ես ինձ երբեք չէի ների մարդկային հնարավոր կորուստների համար և շնորհակալ եմ, որ ժողովուրդն ինձ հասկացավ:
Չեմ ափսոսում, որ քաղաքական զարգացումների այդ փուլում, երբ ակնհայտ էր ժողովրդի անվերապահ աջակցությունը, ընդունակ եղանք կայացնել ճիշտ որոշում՝ խուսափելով արյունահեղությունից և անդառնալի կորուստներից, հարվածի տակ չդրեցինք Հայաստանի և Արցախի կայությունն ու անվտանգությունը:
Իմ որոշումից հետո քաղաքական դաշտում առաջացած բացը ոչ մի քաղաքական ուժ և գործիչ այդպես էլ չկարողացավ լրացնել: Քաղաքական որոշ առաջնորդների և գործիչների՝ այդ օրերին դրսևորած վարքագծի գնահատականը թողնում եմ հանրության և Աստծո դատին:
Ես զերծ կմնայի քաղաքական գործընթացներին մասնակցելուց, եթե տեսնեի ու վստահ լինեի, որ մեր երկիրը ընթանում է ճիշտ ճանապարհով, տնտեսությունը զարգանում է, որ ժողովրդի բարեկեցության մակարդակը բարձրանում է: Ցավոք, ունենք մեծ չափերի հասնող արտագաղթ, թույլ ու հիվանդ տնտեսություն, աղքատության անընդհատ աճ, բարձր չափերի հասնող գործազրկություն և ապագայի նկատմամբ անվստահություն:
Ես չեմ կարող անտարբեր լինել իմ ժողովրդի ճակատագրի հանդեպ՝ հատկապես, որ յուրաքանչյուր օր ինձ են դիմում հազարավոր քաղաքացիներ՝ հորդորելով վերադառնալ քաղաքականություն: Ինձ են դիմում «Բարգավաճ Հայաստանի»-ի իմ կուսակից ընկերները, ում հետ ես երկար ճանապարհ եմ անցել, ինձ են դիմում բազմաթիվ կուսակցությունների և հասարակական կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչներ, ովքեր համոզված են, որ իմ վերադարձը կօգնի շտկելու այս ծանր իրավիճակը: Վերջին ամիսներին բազմաթիվ հանդիպումներ եմ ունեցել նաև Սփյուռքի հասարակական-քաղաքական, գործարար շրջանակների և մտավորականության ներկայացուցիչների հետ, ովքեր ևս ինձ հորդորում են վերադառնալ քաղաքականություն:
Ակտիվ քաղաքականությամբ չզբաղվելու պարագայում անգամ ես չեմ դադարել զբաղվել բարեգործությամբ՝ ցույց տալով, որ դրա տակ երբեք չի եղել քաղաքական նպատակ և ենթատեքստ, ինչպես փորձում են ներկայացնել ոմանք: Բայց, որքան էլ ծանրակշիռ լինի իմ կողմից իրականացվող բարեգործության ծավալը, այն չի կարող լուծել մեր ժողովրդի առջև ծառացած բոլոր խնդիրները: Մենք պետք է ձևավորենք ոչ թե բարեգործության սպասող հասարակություն, այլ ձևավորենք անհրաժեշտ պայմաններ՝ տնտեսության զարգացման և աշխատատեղերի ստեղծման համար:
2017 թվականի խորհրդարանական ընտրությունները ճակատագրական են լինելու Հայաստանի ապագայի համար:
Նկատի ունենալով մեր երկրի առջև ծառացած ներքին և արտաքին մարտահրավերները, ինչպես նաև իմ քաղաքականություն վերադառնալու հանրային պահանջը, ես հայտարարում եմ, որ բացում եմ քաղաքական գործունեության փակված էջը և մասնակցելու եմ 2017 թվականի խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին՝ ձևավորելով լայն դաշինք: Մեր դռները բաց են բոլոր այն քաղաքական ուժերի և գործիչների առաջ, ովքեր մտահոգ են մեր երկրի ապագայով:
Մենք կարող ենք, մենք ունենք այդ ներքին մեծ ներուժը՝ մեր երկրի զարգացման և հզորացման համար:
Ես իմ ժողովրդի առջև պարտք ունեմ կատարելու:
Կյանքիս այս կարևոր որոշումը իմ խաչն է, որը կրելու եմ մինչև վերջ՝ հանուն Հայաստանի և հայ ժողովրդի:
