Երեխա մեծացնելը հիանալի և միաժամանակ չափազանց պատասխանատու աշխատանք է՝ լի մարտահրավերներով և մտավախություններով՝ անկախ տարիքից: Այսպիսով, կա՞ արդյոք այսպես ասած «ճիշտ տարիք» երեխա ունենալու համար:
Հետազոտությունը պարզել է, որ 35-ից հետո երեխա ունենալը մեծ առավելություններ ունի:
Երեխա ունենալու միջին տարիքը կանանց շրջանում գնալով աճում է, և սա պարզապես նորաձևության հարց չէ: 30-40 տարեկան կանայք ավելի ապահով և վստահ են զգում իրենց երեխա ունենալու համար: Դա պայմանավորված է այդ տարիքում իրենց կողակցի հանդեպ վստահության և արդեն կայացած կարիերա ունենալու հետ:
35-ից հետո հղիությունը միշտ համարվել է ռիսկային, սակայն գիտնականները որոշակի առավելություններ են բացահայտել:
Հարավային Կալիֆոռնիայի համալսարանի հետազոտությունների արդյունքում պարզվել է, որ 35-ից հետո երեխա ունենալը բարելավում է մոր մտավոր կարողությունները:

Հետազոտողները որոշակի թեստավորման են ենթարկել 830 արդեն մայրացած կանանց: Թեստավորումը ուղղված էր ստուգելու կանանց ուշադրությունը, հիշողությունը, կենտրոնանալու ունակությունը, պլանավորելու կարողությունը և այլն: Պարզվել, որ 25-ից հետո երեխա ունեցած մայրերը շատ ավելի լավ ցուցանիշներ են ցուցաբերում, քան մինչև 25 տարեկանը մայրացածները: Իսկ նրանք, ովքեր վերջին անգամ երեխա էին ունեցել 35-ից հետո, ավելի լավ հիշողություն և ռեակցիա ունեն:

Սա պայմանավորված էստրոգեն և պրոգթեստերոն հորմոնների արտադրությամբ հղիության ընթացքում, որ հիանալի կերպով է անդրադառնում ուղեղի աշխատանքի վրա, հատկապես եթե վերջին հղիությունը եղել է ավելի ուշ տարիքում:
