 Հունաստանի նախկին վարչապետ Յորգոս Պապանդրեուն հունվարի 19-ին կկանգնի Աթենքի առաջին ատյանի դատարանի առաջ. նրան կդատեն ընտրությունների նախօրեին երկրի տնտեսական իրադրության վերաբերյալ կեղծ հայտարարությունների եւ այն պնդումների համար, թե նախընտրական խոստումների կատարման համար բյուջեում «փող կա»: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել Է «Նավֆտեմպորիկի» հրատարակության կայքը: 
Պապանդրեուն վարչապետ Էր 2009 – 2011 թվականներին:   
2009 թվականի աշնանը Պապանդրեուն՝ որպես ՊԱՍՕԿ ձախ կենտրոնամետ կուսակցության առաջնորդ, շահեց ընտրությունները, եւ գրեթե իսկույն հայտարարեց, որ իշխանությունում իր նախորդները թաքցրել են բյուջեի պակասուրդի իսկական չափը: Նրա օրոք Հունաստանը 2010 թվականի գարնանը դարձավ եվրոգոտու առաջին երկիրը, որը դիմեց ԵՄ-ին եւ ԱՄՀ-ին՝ ֆինանսական աջակցության համար եւ ստորագրեց հուշագիր, ըստ որի հարկադրված Էր համաձայնեցնել բոլոր գործողությունները վարկերի տրամադրման դիմաց:     
Դատարանում հայցը հարուցել Է երրորդ կարգի պաշտոնաթող կապիտան Պանայոտիս Ստամատիսը, որը ՊԱՍՕԿ կուսակցության նախկին նախագահից պահանջում Է վճարել 260 հազար եվրո գումարած տոկոսները՝ որպես փոխհատուցում Պապանդրեուի պատճառած բարոյական վնասի եւ «նախընտրական խոստումների առնչությամբ իրավունքների ապօրինի խախտման» համար, «որոնք չեն կատարվել»:        
ՊԱՍՕԿ-ի նախկին նախագահը 2009 թվականին խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների նախաշեմին հայտարարել Էր, որ «հարցն այն չԷ, թե որտեղից փող գտնել, այլ թե ուր կգնա փողը, որովհետեւ փող կա, մենք 31 միլիարդ եվրո չհավաքած հարկեր ունենք», հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
