SOCIETYNational Geographic-ը ներկայացրել է 10 վայր, որոնք քիչ տուրիստներ են ունենում, բայց արժանի են այցելության: Դրանցից առաջինը Հայաստանն է:
Քչերը գիտեն, որ Հայաստանը այն երկիրն է, որը առաջինն է ընդունել քրիստոնեությունը որպես պետական կրոն: Մինչ այլ եկեղեցիներ զարդարված են ներկված որմնանկարներով, որոնցից շատերը խունացել են կամ ոչնչացվել, Գեղարդի և Սանահինի եկեղեցիներն ու խաչքարերը դիմակայել են ժամանակի փորձություններին: Հայաստանը, սակայն, միայն եկեղեցիներով չէ հարուստ: Լեռներն ու հովիտները այստեղ հարուստ են տաճարներով, ինչպես Գառնու հեթանոսական տաճարը, սպա-կենտրոններով, ինչպես Դիլիջանը, որն անվանում են նաև «Հայաստանի Շվեյցարիա»:
