Հյուսիսային Կիպրոսի իշխանությունները ձերբակալել են թուրք հայտնի ոճաբան Բարբարոս Շանսալին՝ Թուրքիային ու թուրք ժողովրդին վիրավորելու համար։
Cyprus Mail պարբերականը հայտնում է, որ Նոր տարվա նախօրեին Շանսալը սոցցանցում հրապարակել էր տեսաուղերձ, որում հայտնել էր Թուրքիայում լրագրողների ձերբակալությունների, իշխող Արդարության ու զարգացման կուսակցությունում տարածված կոռուպցիայի մասին, նաեւ մոլեռանդ էր անվանել երկրի կրոնական ներկայացուցիչներին, որոնք թուրքերին կոչ են արել չնշել Սուրբ ծնունդ ու Ամանոր։ Ոճաբանին կալանավորել են Անկարայի պահանջով, մոտ ժամանակներս նրան արտաքսելու են Թուրքիա։ Նշում են, որ ոճաբանը տեսագրությունը ներբեռնել է համացանց Ստամբուլի գիշերային ակումբում տեղի ունեցած ահաբեկչությունից կես ժամ առաջ, ինչը կասկածներ է ծնել, որ նա կարող էր տեղյակ լինել ծրագրվող հարձակման մասին։
