Թուրքիայի վարչապետ Բինալի Յըլդըրըմը հայտարարել է, որ Սիրիայում տևական խաղաղության հաստատման համար անհրաժեշտ է ստեղծել ճգնաժամի քաղաքական լուծման հիմքեր, ըստ Յըլդըրըմի՝ այդ հիմքը Թուրքիայի և Ռուսաստանի բանակցությունների արդյունքում ձեռք բերված հրադադարի պայմանավորվածությունն է:

«Հաջորդ քայլը պետք է լինի հարցի քաղաքական լուծմանն ուղղված բանակցությունները: Կողմերը պետք է նստեն և բանակցեն Սիրիայի ամբողջականությանն ու միասնականությանը նպաստող լուծումներ գտնելու համար: Հրադադարը ստեղծել է դրա հիմքերը: Կա հիմք, որով կարող ենք խոսել արդեն ապագայի մասին: Սա սկիզբն է, բայց շարունակությունն ավելի կարևոր է: Սա չպետք է սահմանափակվի Ռուսաստանի և Թուրքիայի առաջնորդությամբ, Իրանն էլ կա այս գործի մեջ: Սակայն մենք սպասում ենք, որպեսզի ԱՄՆ-ի գլխավորած կոալիցիոն ուժերը ավելի մեծ ակտիվություն դրսևորեն այս հարցում», - ասել է Յըլդըրըմը:

Դեկտեմբերի 29-ին ՌԴ պաշտպանության նախարարությունը հրապարակել է զինված ընդդիմադիր խմբավորումների ցանկը, որոնք համաձայնել են հրադադարին:

Հիշեցնենք, որ թուրքական հատուկ նշանակության ուժերն օգոստոսի 24-ի առավոտյան մտել են Սիրիայի տարածք՝ իրենց իսկ խոսքով՝ «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման գրոհայիններից հյուսիսային Ջերաբլուս քաղաքի ազատագրման գործողության շրջանակում: Թուրքական ԶՈւ-ին աջակցում են նաև «Սիրիական ազատ բանակ» ընդդիմադիր խմբավորումն ու կոալիցիոն ուժերը՝ օդային հարվածների միջոցով: Թուրքական ԶՈՒ-ն պայքարում է նաև Սիրիայի հյուսիսում գործող քրդական ազգային խմբավորումների դեմ։
