Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի նախագահի մամուլի խոսնակ Դավիթ Բաբայանը դրական է համարում ՀԱՊԿ-ի արձագանքն Ադրբեջանի կողմից հրահրված վերջին սահմանային միջադեպին: Այս մասին նա հայտնեց Past.am-ի հետ զրույցում:

Ըստ Բաբայանի՝ այն, որ ՀԱՊԿ գլխավոր քարտուղար Նիկոլայ Բորդյուժայի հայտարարության մեջ հնչեց «Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետություն» արտահայտությունը, հստակ քաղաքական մեսիջ էր, որն ուղղված էր նաև Ադրբեջանին: Այնուհանդերձ, Արցախի նախագահի խոսնակը սխալ է համարում հաճախակի հնչող մեկնաբանությունները, թե ով, ինչ ասաց կամ ինչու չասաց:

Մեր զրուցակիցը հավելում է. «Բանակը կարողանում է ինքնուրույն դիմակայել արտաքին մարտահրավերներին: Բայց միջազգային պատշաճ արձագանքի բացակայությունը խրախուսանք է հակամարտության ոչ կառուցողական կողմին»:

Խոսելով տոնական օրերի հնարավոր լարվածության մասին՝ պարոն Բաբայանն ասաց, որ այդ սպասելիքները մշտապես կան, քանի որ գործ ունենք Ադրբեջանի նման աննորմալ պետության հետ: «Նրանք միշտ յուրովի են փորձում մեզ «շնորհավորել»:Մենք պատրաստ ենք: Գիտենք, որ Նոր տարի է և ադրբեջանցիների համերաշխության օրը՝ արհեսական տոն, որը հորինել է արհեստական ժողովուրդը»:

Վերջում Դավիթ Բաբայանը հղեց իր տոնական մաղթանքը. «Ես ուզում եմ, որպեսզի խաղաղության, երջանկության, համերաշխության տարի լինի: Մաղթանքի երկրորդ մասը կապված է աշխատանքի հետ, այսինքն՝ մենք պետք է աշխատենք, որ այդպես լինի»:
