Հայաստանի Հանրապետության բանակն մշտապես աշխատում է իր մարտական կարողությունների զարգացման ուղղությամբ: Այս մասին Հայաստանի պետական տնտեսագիտական համալսարանում ուսանողների հետ հանդիպմանն ասաց ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը՝ պատասխանելով ուսանողներից մեկի հարցին՝ վերջերս հայկական զինուժի կողմից ռուսական «Իսկանդեր» հրթիռային համակարգի ձեռքբերման հավաստիության վերաբերյալ: «Հայկական բանակը ռազմական, ռազմատեխնիկական համագործակցության շրջանակներում անընդհատ ձեռք է բերում սպառազինության ժամանակակից, ինչպես նաև հեռահար միջոցներ»,- նշեց նախարարը:

Նախարարն ընդգծեց, որ հայկական զինված ուժերի սպառազինության և մարտական կարողությունների զարգացման գործում կարևոր գործոն է գաղտնիության ապահովումը: «Որքան մենք քիչ խոսենք դրա մասին, այնքան քիչ տեղեկատվություն այդ մասին կունենա մեր հակառակորդը, իսկ մենք ավելի արդյունավետ կկարողանանք իրականացնել մեր գործառույթները»,- ընդգծեց նախարարը:

Վերջերս Հայաստանը ՌԴ-ից 200 միլիոն դոլարի արտոնյալ վարկ է ստացել, որն ուղղվելու է հայկական զինված ուժերի համար ժամանակակից սպառազինության ձեռքբերմանը: Ռուսական լրատվամիջոցները տեղեկություններ էին տարածել, որ այդ վարկային միջոցներով Հայաստանը ձեռք է բերել ռուսական արտադրության «Իսկանդեր» հրթիռային համակարգ:
