Սիրիական ընդդիմության Բանակցությունների բարձրագույն կոմիտեի (ԲԲԿ) ղեկավար Ռիադ Հիջաբը Սիրիայի հակամարտության քաղաքական կարգավորման շուրջ բանակցություններ անցկացնելու առաջարկը համարել Է խաղաղության հաստատմանն ուղղված «անկեղծ ջանքեր» եւ հայտարարել, որ աջակցում Է դրանց, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
«Մենք ողջունում ենք տեղաշարժը համաշխարհային առանձին տերությունների դիրքորոշումներում եւ անկեղծ դրական ջանքերը, որոնք կարող են սիրիական ժողովրդի ակնկալիքների իրականացման ելակետ դառնալ համաձայնության հասնելու ճանապարհով, որը կբերի անվտանգություն ու կայունություն»,-ասված Է նրա կողմից մամուլի համար տարածված հայտարարության մեջ: 
Ավելի վաղ Ռուսաստանը, Իրանը եւ Թուրքիան հանդես են եկել Աստանայում Սիրիայի խնդրի քաղաքական կարգավորման շուրջ միջսիրիական բանակցություններ անցկացնելու նախաձեռնությամբ: Այդ գաղափարը պաշտպանել Է Ղազախստանի նախագահ Նուրսուլթան Նազարբաեւը՝ համաձայնելով Ղազախստանի մայրաքաղաք Աստանան որպես հարթակ տրամադրել դրանց անցկացման համար: 
Հաջիդն իր հայտարարության մեջ նշել Է, որ ԲԲԿ-ն կցանկանար հրադադարի հասնել Սիրիայի ամբողջ տարածքում՝ ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի բանաձեւերին համապատասխան: Դրա հետ մեկտեղ, նրա խոսքով, ԲԲԿ-ն առայժմ պաշտոնական որեւԷ տեղեկատվություն չի ստացել բանակցային գործընթացի կազմակերպման հարցերի վերաբերյալ: 
ԱՄՆ-ի Պետդեպարտամենտի ներկայացուցիչ Մարկ Թոները բրիֆինգի ժամանակ հայտնել Է, որ ԱՄՆ-ը պաշտպանում Է սիրիական հակամարտության քաղաքական կարգավորմանն ուղղված բոլոր ջանքերը:
Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը տեղեկացրել Է, որ Աստանայում միջսիրիական բանակցություններին, Ռուսաստանից, Թուրքիայից եւ Իրանից բացի, կարող են հրավիրվել Սաուդյան Արաբիայի եւ Քաթարի ներկայացուցիչները, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
