Էներգակիրների սակագների տատանումը մեծ ազդեցություն ունի երկրի տնտեսության կառավարման գործընթացում: Այն կարող է ազդել սոցիալական բեռի, արտադրանքի մրցունակության և ներդրումային դաշտի վրա:
Հայաստանում հաջորդ տարվա փետրվարի 1-ից գործելու են գազի ավելի ցածր սակագներ: Նվազել է նաև էլեկտրական էներգիայի սակագինը: Գլոբալ առումով կարող է տպավորություն ստեղծվել, որ 1, 2 դրամ նվազումը այդքան էլ մեծ չէ և չի կարող էական ազդեցություն թողնել, ինչը, սակայն, այդպես չէ: Եթե դրան գումարենք բնակչության համար գազի սակագնի նվազեցումը 7 դրամով, ապա կարող ենք ասել, որ բնակչության ֆինանսական բեռի նվազեցումը իրեն պետք է որ զգացնել տա:
Բացի դրանից՝ նվազեցումը լուրջ խթան է տնտեսության մի շարք ոլորտների համար: Մասնավորապես՝ գազի սակագների տարբերակված մոտեցմամբ, ջերմոցային տնտեսություններն ու վերամշակող ձեռնարկությունները հունվարի 1-ից նախկին 156 դրամի դիմաց 1 խմ գազի համար վճարելու են 100 դրամ, ինչը լուրջ խթան է գյուղմթերքի և մշակող արդյունաբերության ձեռնարկությունների զարգացման համար:
Բարձրացնելով մրցակցությունը՝ հնարավորություն է ստեղծվում ոչ միայն մատուցել արտադրանքը ավելի մատչելի գներով, այլ նաև ամրապնդել դիրքերը այլ շուկաներում, ինչն էլ կարող է բերել արտահանման ծավալների ավելացմանը:
