 Կաթողիկե  աշխարհը դեկտեմբերի 25-ին տոնում է Սուրբ Ծնունդը: Այն նաեւ Հայաստանում են նշում Կաթողիկե եկեղեցու բոլոր հետեւորդները:  Մինչ դեկտեմբերի 25-ին մատուցվող Ծննդյան ավետիսի պատարագը,  կաթողիկե բոլոր համայնքներում դեկտեմբերի 24-ին երեկոյան մատուցվում է Ճրագալույցի Սուրբ պատարագ, որին մասնակցում են ընտանիքներով: Դեկտեմբե րի 24-ին երեկոյան  պատարագ մատուցվեց նաև Հայաստանի, Վրաստանի, Ռուսաստանի և Արևելյան Եվրոպայի հայ կաթողիկեների առաջնորդանիստ Գյումրու «Սրբոց նահատակաց» եկեղեցում՝  ձեռամբ Տեր Սահակի:

Հայաստանի, Վրաստանի, Ռուսաստանի հայ կաթողիկների առաջնորդությունը (կամ թեմը) ձևավորվել է 1991թ. Հռոմի Սրբազան Պապ Սբ. Հովհաննես Պողոս Բ-ի կողմից և գտնվում է Հռոմի պապի հովանու ներքո՝ Ամենապատիվ Տեր Գրիգոր Պետրոս 20-րդ Կաթողիկոս Պատրիարքի հոգևոր առաջնորդությամբ: Առաջնորդության ներկայիս գլուխն է Ռաֆայել արքեպիսկոպոս Մինասյանը:

Տարիներ շարունակ կաթողիկե համայնքների բնակիչները, հետևելով իրենց եկեղեցու ծեսերին ու օրենքներին, հաճախել ու հաճախում են իրենց համայնքներում գործող կաթողիկե եկեղեցիներ՝ հավատարիմ իրենց եկեղեցուն:  Միայն Շիրակի մարզում կա գործող 9 կաթողիկե եկեղեցի:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին Կաթողիկե առաջնորդարանից, Շիրակում կաթողիկե հետևորդներ ունեցող համայնքներ շատ կան: Մարզում կաթողիկե բնակչություն ունեցող համայքներ են Մեծ Սեպասարը, Ղազանչին, Բավրան, Արևիկը, Փանիկը, Ձիթհանքովը, Ազատանը, Լանջիկը և այլն: Կաթողիկե հետևորդներ ունի նաև Գյումրին:
