Հալեպի բնակիչները տոնում են քաղաքի ազատագրումը անօրինական զինված կազմավորումներից: Անձրեւոտ եղանակն ու քամին մարդկանց հետ չեն պահում դուրս գալու փողոց եւ մյուսների հետ կիսել այդ տոնը, որը թերեւս ամենանշանակալիցն Է նրանց կյանքում վերջին հինգ տարվա ընթացքում, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը` հղո ւմ անելով ՌԻԱ Նովոստիին:
Սիրիայի կառավարական զորքերը դեկտեմբերի 22-ին պաշտոնապես հայտարարել են, որ Հալեպն ամբողջությամբ գտնվում Է իրենց հսկողության ներքո: «Սիրիական բանակի հրամանատարությունը հայտարարում Է Հալեպում խաղաղության ու անվտանգության վերականգնման մասին»,- ասված Է սիրիական բանակի հրամանատարության հայտարարության մեջ:
Զինվորականները նշում են որ վերջին ապստամբներն ու խաղաղ բնակիչները հեռացել են քաղաքի արեւելյան մասից, այնպես որ այժմ նրա նկատմամբ հսկողությունը վերականգված Է:
Իր հայտարարության մեջ սիրիական բանակը Հալեպի ազատագրումը գնահատում Է որպես «ռազմավարական բեկում ահաբեկչության դեմ մղվող պայքարում»:
Արեւելյան Հալեպից ապստամբների ու քաղաքացիական բնակչության տարհանումն սկսվել Էր դեկտեմբերի 15-ին: Դրա կազմակերպմամբ զբաղվում Էր Ռուսաստանը՝ իր գործողությունները համաձայնեցնելով Թուրքիայի հետ:
