Գոյություն ունեն սննդատեսակներ, որոնք մեծացնում են ախորժակը և դրանք ուտելուց հետո ցանկանում ես ուտել ու նորից ուտել:
Ախորժաբեր են համարվում համեմունքները` աղը, մանանեխը, կծու պղպեղը և գլյուտամատ կոչվող սննդային հավելումը, որը դիտմամբ մեծապես օգտագործում են կիսաֆաբրիկատներ և արագ սնունդ պատրաստելիս։ Սակայն բացի ախորժակը բարձրացնելուց, այն կարող է նաև վնասակար ազդեցություն ունենալ օրգանիզմի վրա:
Պահածոյացված, աղի և կծու սննդատեսակները նույնպես կարող են մեծացնել ախորժակը, քանի որ դրանք խթանում են ստամոքսահյութի արտադրությունը, ինչն էլ մեծացնում է ախորժակը։ Նույն ազդեցությունն ունի նաև թթու կաղամբը, կիտրոնը, թթու խնձորը և այլն։ Սակայն այս սննդատեսակների օգտագործումը չի կարելի չարաշահել, քանի որ դրանք ստամոքսի խնդիրների առաջացման պատճառ կարող են դառնալ:
Ախորժակի մեծացման հարցում իր ազդեցությունն ունի նաև քաղցրավենիքը, որը լիովին չի հագեցնում մարդուն և կարճ չանցած՝ կրկին ուտելու մեծ ցանկություն է առաջանում։
