Որ տարիքում էլ լինենք, տոնածառը և դրա զարդարանքը մեզ վերադարձնում են մանկություն, արթնացնում ամենահաճելի հիշողություններն ու մի փոքր հեքիաթ պարգևում: Բայց մեր քաղաքի ղեկավարներն ամեն ինչ անում են, որ այդ տոնը մեզ մոտ, դեժավյուից բացի, ուրիշ զգացողություն չառաջացնի: 

Երկու օր առաջ Տարոն Մարգարյանը վառեց Երևան քաղաքի գլխավոր տոնածառի լույսերը:
Չգնացի լույսերի վառելու արարողությանը, որովհետև ոչ մի սպասելիք էլ չունեի քաղաքապետարանից ու Երևան քաղաքի դիզայներներից: Չգիտեմ էլ արդեն քանի տարի, բայց ինչքան ինձ հիշում եմ, մեր քաղաքի գլխավոր տոնածառը նույնն է, նույն երկար, անիմաստ, ուղղահայաց լույսերով ու նույն կարմիր, կապույտ, ծիրանագույնը: 
Լավ, հնարավոր չէ՞ մի տարի էլ ուրիշ տեսք ունենա մեր տոնածառը, եթե ձեր կրեատիվը չի հերիքում, գոնե թող այդ անտեր լույսերը ուղղահայացի փոխարեն հորիզոնական լինեն: 
Ամբողջ տարին ասում եք՝ Երևանը այս քաղաքի քույրն է, այն քաղաքի եղբայրն է, ու օրերով գործուղումների եք գնում այդ քաղաքներ: Հնարավոր չի՞ ձեր քույրերից ու եղբայրներից մի բան սովորեք, բերեք մեր մոտ կիրառեք: 
Եթե ձեր կրեատիվը չի բավականացնում, մրցույթ հայտարարեք, թող լավ մտքեր ունեցող մարդիկ տարբեր գաղափարներ ներկայացնեն: Վստահ եմ, որ այդ գաղափարների մեջ կլինեն հետաքրիր մտքեր, որոնք կգնահատեն նաև քաղաքացիները: 
Հերիք է տարվա ամենասպասված տոնը փչացնեք ձեր ռաբիս, կրկնվող, կրեատիվի կաթիլից զուրկ ու իբրև թե «խնայողաբար» օգտագործված գումարի դիմաց զարդարված քաղաքով:
