Անկարան մտադիր Է Ռուսաստանի հետ շարունակել Սիրիայի իրադրության քաղաքական կարգավորմանն ուղղված ջանքերը: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով ՌԻԱ Նովոստիին, հայտարարել Է Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Մեւլյութ Չավուշօղլուն:
«Մենք մտադիր ենք շարունակել համատեղ աշխատանքը ՌԴ-ի հետ, շարունակել ինչպես Սիրիայի իրադրության քաղաքական կարգավորման, այնպես Էլ բոլոր բնագավառներում մեր երկկողմ հարաբերությունների զարգացման ջանքերը»,-ասել Է նա ՌԴ ԱԳ նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովի հետ դեկտեմբերի 20-ին Մոսկվայում կայացած հանդիպմանը:
Իր հերթին Լավրովը հայտարարել Է, որ Մոսկվան անհրաժեշտ Է համարում հնարավորինս արագ պարզել Անկարայում Ռուսաստանի դեսպան Անդրեյ Կառլովի սպանության բոլոր հանգամանքները: «Անհրաժեշտ Է հնարավորինս արագ պարզել այդ ահաբեկչական գործողության կազմակերպման եւ իրագործման բոլոր հանգամանքները»,-ասել Է նա:
Թուրքիայում Ռուսաստանի դեսպան Անդրեյ Կառլովի վրա հարձակումը տեղի Է ունեցել դեկտեմբերի 19-ին Անկարայում «Ռուսաստանը թուրքերի աչքերով» ֆոտոցուցահանդեսի բացման ժամանակ: Թուրքիայի ՆԳ նախարարությունը պարզել Է, որ ռուս դիվանագետի վրա կրակել Է 22-ամյա թուրք ոստիկան Մեւլյութ Մերթ Ալթընթաշը:
Նա Կառլովին սպանել Է ատրճանակից արձակված մի քանի կրակոցով՝ իր գործողությունները բացատրելով Սիրիայում Ռուսաստանի քաղաքականությունից դժգոհությամբ: Գրոհի հետեւանքով տուժել Է եւս երկու մարդ: Հարձակվողը վնասազերծվել Է թուրքական հատուկ նշանակության ուժերի կողմից:
