Վարդան Ոսկանյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
Այն պայմաններում, երբ մի կողմից Թեհրանի ախոյան Իսրայելի վարչապետն է այցելում Ադրբեջան, իսկ մյուս կողմից՝ Թուրքիայում իրանական դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչությունների դիմաց տեղի են ունենում բողոքի ցույցեր, ինչի հետևանքով իրանական ԱԳՆ է կանչվում այդ երկրում Անկարայի դեսպանը, Իրանի նախագահը վաղը ժամանելու է Հայաստան:
Ակնհայտ է, որ հայ-իրանական հարաբերություններն էլ ավելի ամրապնդելու տեսանկյունից այցի համար առավել քան նպաստավոր իրավիճակ, երբ Իրանի հետ կապված տարածաշրջանային ծրագրերի առումով մեր երկու մրցակիցները մի քանի անմիտ քայլերով հասցրել են զգալիորեն փչացնել հարաբերությունները Թեհրանի հետ, դժվար էր պատկերացնել:
Այս ֆոնին հյուսիսային հարևանների շարքում Հայաստանը շարունակում է մնալ Իրանի փաստացիորեն միակ հուսալի և վստահելի գործընկերը՝ երկիր, որտեղ մերձավորարևելյան այս հսկային ոչ միայն չեն դիտարկում որպես մրցակից կամ թշնամի, այլ նաև անշեղորեն աճում է հայ-իրանական գործակցության հնարավորին խորացման կողմնակիցների առանց այն էլ ստվար բանակը:
Ակնհայտ է, որ երկու երկրները տարածաշրջանում ստեղծված ներկա իրավիճակի համար բացառիկ համառությամբ պահպանում են միմյանց հանդեպ բարեկամական վերաբերմունքը, ինչը չափազանց կարևոր գրավական է վաղվա բանակցությունների ընթացքում հայ-իրանական հարաբերություններին բոլորովին նոր որակ հաղորդելու և մրցակիցներին ձեռնունայն թողնելու առումով:
