Ճապոնացիների շուրջ 60 տոկոսը պաշտպանում Է հարավկուրիլյան կղզիներում համատեղ տնտեսական գործունեություն իրականացնելու գաղափարը, նախքան Ռուսաստանի հետ տարածքային հարցի լուծումը: Հասարակական կարծիքի հարցման այս տվյալները հրապարակել Է The Mainichi թերթը:
Հետազոտման արդյունքների համաձայն՝ այդ պլանին աջակցություն Է հայտնել հարցման մասնակիցների 59 տոկոսը, ընդ որում՝ դեմ Է արտահայտվել ընդամենը 25 տոկոսը: Պարզվել Է, որ վարչապետ Սինձո Աբեի կառավարությանն աջակցություն հայտնողների շրջանում այդ ցուցանիշն Էլ ավելի բարձր Է՝ 72 տոկոս:
Սակայն նույնիսկ նրանց շրջանում, ովքեր հանդես են գալիս կառավարության քաղաքականության դեմ, Հարավային Կուրիլներում համատեղ տնտեսական գործունեության իրականացման գաղափարի կողմնակիցների թվաքանակն ավելի մեծ Է դրա հակառակորդներից՝ 46 տոկոս՝ 39 տոկոսի դիմաց: Բացի այդ, հարցվածների 60 տոկոսը առաջշարժման հույս Է հայտնել տարածքային հարցի լուծման գործում՝ նման սպասումներ չունեցող 29 տոկոսի դիմաց:
Դեկտեմբերի 17-ին եւ 18-ին անցկացված հարցման մասնակիցներին առաջարկվել Էր պատասխանել նաեւ հրատապ այլ հարցերի: Այդպես, 59 տոկոսը հանդես Է եկել խաղատների թույլատրման օրինագծի դեմ: Կառավարության վարկանիշն ընկել Է 3 տոկոսային կետով՝ մինչեւ 51 տոկոս, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
