Լեգենդար հետախույզի մասին բազմաթիվ ֆիլմեր ու սերիալներ են ստեղծվել, սակայն BBC-ի նկարահանած «Շերլոկը» գերազանցեց բոլոր նախորդներին և փշրեց բոլոր կարծրատիպերը: Ժամանակակից Շերլոկ Հոլմսը բացի ավանդական դեդուկցիայի մեթոդից, օգտվում է նաև նոր տեխնոլոգիաներից, աչքի է ընկնում հումորով ու ուժեղ ինտուիցիայով: Բնականաբար, հանցագործները նույնպես կատարելագործվել են ու դաժանացել: Սերիալը էլ ավելի դիտարժան են դարձնում դերասանների հիանալի խաղն ու հատուկ ֆիլմի համար գրված երաժշտությունը:

Եվ ահա Նոր տարում հիանալի նվեր է սպասվում ֆիլմի սիրահարներին: Երկար ընդմիջումից հետո Շերլոկ Հոլմսը վերադառնում է: Նոր 4-րդ եթերաշրջանի առաջին մասը ցուցադրվելու է հենց հունվարի 1-ին:

Նոր ֆիլմը, ինչպես նախորդները, բաղկացած է լինելու 3 մասից: Սյուժեն խոստանում է լինել ցնցող, տեղի են ունենալու անակնկալ բացահայտումներ և նոր մանրամասներ են հայտնի դառնալու հերոսի անձնական կյանքից:

«Շերլոկի» 4-րդ եթերաշրջանը համարվում է տարվա ամենասպասված պրեմիերան: Հեղինակները այն հետաձգեցին մինչև Նոր տարվա սկիզբ: Սակայն ֆիլմի որոշ մանրամասներ արդեն բացահայտվել են. Վաթսոնը աղջիկ երեխա կունենա, Շերլոկը կփնտրի Թետչերի արձանիկներն ու հիվանդ կձևանա, որպես բռնի հանձագործին:
