ԱԺ պատգամավոր, նախկին ԲՀԿ-ական Վարդան Օսկանյանը ֆեսյբուքյան իր էջում գրել է.

«Սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների նպատակը ոչ թե Հայաստանում կառավարման խորհրդարանական համակարգ հաստատելն է, այլ պարզապես նախագահի պաշտոնը՝ այնպես, ինչպես կա, վերացնելը:

Մի շատ հարգարժան մարդ, ձեզ բոլորին քաջ ծանոթ՝ կուսակցական-քաղաքական գործիչ, այս թեմայի շուրջ զրուցելիս ինձ ասաց հետևյալը. «Սերժ Սարգսյանը վախենում է հաջորդ Սերժ Սարգսյանից»:

Շատ դիպուկ և բազմաբովանդակ է ասված: Մտածե՛ք դրա մասին:

Իրոք, այս փոփոխությունների ելակետը, գլխավոր նպատակը, էությունը նախագահի պաշտոնի վերացումն է: Ոչ թե նրա համար, որ այն պետք չէ, այլ որովհետև ինչ-որ մեկի, մի խումբ մարդկանց և/կամ քաղաքական ուժի, այլևս ձեռնտու չէ դա:

Այլ կերպ ասած՝ մենք ոչ թե խորհրդարանական համակարգի կարիքն ենք զգացել, ուստի անխուսափելիորեն հրաժարվում ենք նախագահի պաշտոնից, այլ հակառակ կողմից ենք եկել՝ ուզեցել ենք հենց այդ պաշտոնը վերացնել, հետևապես անխուսափելիորեն անցում ենք կատարում խորհրդարանական համակարգի:

Հայաստանի այսօրվա ներքին, արտաքին և տնտեսական ահագնացող մարտահրավերների, խորացող արտագաղթի պայմաններում սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների այս փորձը կարող է իսկական փորձանք դառնալ երկրի գլխին:

Ես դեմ եմ սահմանադրական փոփոխություններին և կոչ եմ անում մեր քաղաքացիներին ՈՉ ասել այդ փոփոխություններին»:
