ՀՀ վարչապետ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը պարզաբանել է ԵԱՏՄ երկրների միջև ռազմավարական ապրանքների առևտրուրը ռուբլով իրականացնելու իր առաջարկը: Ազգային ժողովում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը նշեց, որ իր առաջարկը վերաբերել է էներգակիրներին: 

«Իմ առաջարկը, մասնավորապես, էներգակիրներին է վերաբերել, որպեսզի, օրինակ, մենք գազը գնենք ռուբլով: Մենք արդեն պայմանավորվել ենք, որ Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության անդամ երկրները կքննարկեն այդ հարցը: Այն այդքան արագ լուծելի չէ, սակայն կարևորն այն է, որ մենք արդեն այդ հարցն ընդգրկել ենք օրակարգում»,- ընդգծեց վարչապետը:

Հարցին, թե ինչն է եղել նման հարց բարձրացնելու պատճառը, ՀՀ վարչապետը պարզաբանեց, որ փոխարժեքի տատանումները որոշակի խնդիրներ են առաջացնում, ուստի, ճիշտ կլինի, որ Հայաստանը գազի համար ՌԴ-ին ռուբլով վճարի: «Ես կարծում եմ, որ դա դրական առաջարկ է և դրական ազդեցություն կունենա մեր երկրի տնտեսության վրա»,- շեշտեց վարչապետը:

Դիտարկմանը, թե այդ տարբերակը կարող է ՌԴ-ի համար ձեռնտու չլինել, Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը պատասխանեց, որ Հայաստանը և Ռուսաստանը ռազմավարական գործընկերներ են, և գազի դիմաց ՌԴ-ին ռուբլով վճարելը Հայաստանի տնտեսության համար ձեռնտու կլինի:

Նա ընդգծեց, որ դեռևս ռուսական կողմից որևէ արձագանք չկա՝ հստակեցնելով, որ եղել է ընդամենը առաջարկ, որպեսզի այդ հարցն ընդգրկվի աշխատանքային խմբերի օրակարգում և քննարկվի:
