 Ռիգա աշխատանքային այցի շրջանակներում համատեղության կարգով Լատվիայի Հանրապետությունում ՀՀ դեսպան Տիգրան Մկրտչյանը (նստավայրը՝ Վիլնյուս) դեկտեմբերի 2-ին հանդիպել է Սաեյմայի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Օյարս Էրիկս Կալնինշի հետ: 

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԳՆ մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, դեսպան Մկրտչյանն իր զրուցակցին ներկայացրել է ապրիլի սկզբին Ադրբեջանի կողմից Արցախի դեմ սանձազերծված ռազմական գործողությունների հետևանքները, ինչպես նաև Ադրբեջանի ապակառուցողական գործելաոճը միջազգային խորհրդարանական ձևաչափերում:

Դեսպան Մկրտչյանը ներկայացրել է ՀՀ-ԵՄ շրջանակային համաձայնագրի շուրջ ընթացող բանակցությունների ներկա փուլը:

Զրուցակիցները նաև մտքեր են փոխանակել միջազգային և տարածաշրջանային մի շարք հրատապ հարցերի շուրջ:

Դեկտեմբերի 1-ին ՀՀ դեսպանը հանդիպել է Լատվիայի Ազգային գրադարանի տնօրեն Անդրիս Վիլկսի հետ:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում զրուցակիցները քննարկել են երկու երկրների ազգային գրադարանների միջև համագործակցության հեռանկարները, անդրադարձ է կատարվել Հայաստանի Մատենադարանի հետ փոխգործակցություն հաստատելու հեռանկարներին, Լատվիայի Ազգային գրադարանում առաջիկայում տարբեր միջոցառումներ անցկացնելու հնարավորություններին: Երկուստեք կարևորվել է նաև գրադարանների տնօրենների փոխայցելությունների կազմակերպումը:

Նույն օրը դեսպան Մկրտչյանը Ռիգայի Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ հայկական եկեղեցում հանդիպում է ունեցել հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչների հետ: Մասնակիցներին հյուրընկալել է Բալթյան երկրներում Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու հոգևոր հովիվ Տեր Խոսրով քահանա Ստեփանյանը:

Դեսպան Մկրտչյանը ներկայացրել է առաջիկայում Լատվիայում, Լիտվայում և Էստոնիայում նախատեսվող մշակութային միջոցառումների մանրամասները, քննարկել դեսպանություն-համայնք համագործակցության ոլորտները:
