 Իրանը պատասխան միջոցներ Է պատրաստում Միացյալ Նահանգների կողմից հակաիրանական պատժամիջոցների հնարավոր երկարացմանը: Այդ մասին հայտնել Է Իսլամական Հանրապետության փոխնախագահ, Իրանի ատոմային Էներգիայի կազմակերպության ղեկավար Ալի Աքբար Սալեհին:

Նրա խոսքով՝ այդ միջոցները քննարկվել են իրանական միջուկային ծրագրի վերաբերյալ համաձայնագրի կատարման վերահսկողության կոմիտեի նիստում, որը նախագահել Է Իրանի նախագահ Հասան Ռոուհանին: «Այդ նիստում ընդունված որոշումների մասին կհայտնվի համապատասխան ժամանակ՝ ԱՄՆ-ի գործողությունների գնահատումից ու վերլուծումից հետո: Ինչպես հայտնի Է, պատժամիջոցների երկարացման ընթացակարգը պետք Է անցնի մի քանի փուլ: Այժմ այդ որոշումը հաստատված Է ԱՄՆ-ի Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պլատի կողմից, պահանջվում Է դրա հաստատումը Սենատի կողմից եւ նախագահի ստ որագրումը»,-ասել Է Սալեհին:

«Եթե բոլոր այդ փուլերն անցնեն, եւ նրանք (ամերիկացիները) ցանկանան իրագործել այդ որոշումը, ապա դա կդառնա միջուկային համաձայնագրի ակնհայտ խախտում: Դա փաստ Է, որն ընդունում Է նաեւ ամերիկյան կողմը»,-ընդգծել Է Սալեհին:

Պատժամիջոցների հնարավոր երկարացման թեման, ինչպես նաեւ Իրանի կողմից անհրաժեշտ պատասխան միջոցները «հանգամանորեն քննարկվել են կոմիտեի նիստում», տեղեկացրել Է նա:

Սալեհին, այդուամենայնիվ, հույս Է հայտնել, որ ԱՄՆ-ը «կդրսեւորի ողջախոհություն» եւ չի խախտի բազմակողմ միջազգային համաձայնագրի պայմանները, որը հավանության Է արժանացել ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի թիվ 2231 բանաձեւով:

Անցած շաբաթ Իսլամական Հանրապետության ղեկավար եւ հոգեւոր առաջնորդ այաթոլլա Ալի Խամենեին հայտարարել Է, որ Թեհրանն ամենայն վճռականությամբ կհակազդի Միացյալ Նահանգների կողմից հակաիրանական պատժամիջոցների հնարավոր երկարացմանը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
