 ՀՀ Նախագահ, Հանրապետական կուսակցության առաջնորդ Սերժ Սարգսյանը ՀՀԿ համագումարում ընդգծեց, որ առաջնահերթ խնդիրն է 2017 թվականի գարնանը կազմակերպել և անցկացնել անբիծ ընտրություններ: «Մեզ անհրաժեշտ է հենց այդպիսի վստահության քվե: Եվ այդ պարագայում, առանց վարանելու ու շեղվելու, մենք առաջ կընթանանք մեր երկրի բարեփոխումներն իրականություն դարձնելու ուղիով: Հանրապետականը գալիք խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին ներկայանալու է հասարակության մեջ լայն հեղինակություն վայելող ու վստահություն ներշնչող անհատների և բաց քաղաքական դաշտում բոլորի հետ հավասար պայմաններում մրցել ու գաղափարներով հաղթել կարողացող գործիչների կուռ թիմով, գրագետ համադրությամբ»,-  Արմենպրեսի փոխանցմամբ, ասաց Սերժ Սարգսյանը` ավելացնելով, որ իրենք իրենց ծրագրերով, նոր նախաձեռնություններով ու թարմացվող գործելաոճով փորձելու են պահպանել ու ավելացնել կուսակցության դերակատարումը նաև Սահմանադրության բարեփոխումներով պայմանավորված նոր քաղաքական միջավայրում։

«Այդ իսկ պատճառով մենք պետք է կարողանանք շատ ավելի մոտ լինել մեր հիմնական շահառուին՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության քաղաքացուն և, միաժամանակ, շատ ավելի դինամիկ, անընդհատ կատարելագործվող ու ճկուն՝ քաղաքական բանավեճում և գաղափարների մշակման գործում»,- ասաց Սարգսյանը: Միաժամանակ, Նախագահն ընդգծեց, որ գալիք երկու-երեք տարիները լինելու են խիստ կարևոր Սահմանադրության անցումային դրույթներն արդյունավետորեն կյանքի կոչելու տեսանկյունից:

«Այս մասին մենք բազմիցս և հանգամանալիորեն խոսել ենք։ Նոր Սահմանադրությամբ էապես բարձրանում է կուսակցությունների դերը մեր հասարակական-քաղաքական կյանքում: Այսուհետ ինքնաբերաբար անհետանալու են մարդ-կուսակցությունները կամ ակումբ-կուսակցությունները: Քաղաքական կուսակցությունների հիմնական ձևավորող և շարժիչ ուժը պետք է լինեն գաղափարակից համախոհները: Այս նոր պայմաններում քաղաքական դաշտի բյուրեղացումն անխուսափելի է: Դա առաջին հերթին արտահայտվելու է կառավարող և ընդդիմադիր բևեռների ավելի հստակ տարանջատմամբ: Նաև անխուսափելի է դ առնում քաղաքական միավորների խոշորացումը»,- նկատեց Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
