ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարությունը մտահոգություն է հայտնել ադրբեջանում REAL շարժման առաջնորդ Իլգար Մամմեդովի եւ այլ ակտիվիստների ձերբակալությունների վերաբերյալ:

Այս մասին, ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնում է ադրբեջանական minval.az լրատվական կայքը:

ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարությունը Ադրբեջանի իշխանություններին կոչ է արել Իլգար Մամմեդովի վրայից հանել բոլոր մեղադրանքները, ի կատար ածել  Եվրոպական դատարանի կողմից ընդունված որոշումը, ազատ արձակել նրան եւ նրա հետ ձերբակալված մյուս ակտիվիստներին, որոնց ազատազրկումը հակասում է միջազգային օրենքին:

Իլգար Մամմեդովը 2013 թվականի հունվարին ձերբակալվել է զանգվածային անկարգություններ կազմակերպելու մեղադրանքով եւ դատապարտվել 7 տարի ազատազրկման: Չընդունելով իր հանդեպ ներկայացված մեղադրանքը՝ Մամեդովը դիմել էր Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դատարան, որը 2014 թվականին ճանաչել էր Մամմեդովի ազատության իրավունքի խախտումը եւ անմեղության կանխավարկածը:

Եվրոպայի խորհրդը բազմիցս կոչ է արել ազատ արձակել ձերբակալված ընդդիմադիրին, սակայն Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունները մնում են անդրդվելի:

Միջազգային եւ ադրբեջանական իրավապաշտպան կազմակերպություների տվյալներով` Ադրբեջանում ներկայում մոտ 100 քաղբանտարկյալներ կան:

Ադրբեջանի ոստիկանությունը եւ անվտանգության ուժերը հետեւողականորեն շարունակում են օգտագործել բոլոր միջոցները՝ հետապնդելու իշխանություններին քննադատող անձանց:
