Հարավային Կորեայի ընդդիմությունը պահանջում է նախագահ Պակ Կին Խեի հրաժարականը այն բանից հետո, երբ դատախազությունը հայտնել է, որ կասկածում է նախագահին կոռուպցիայի մասին գործով ֆիգուրանտների հետ դավադրության մեջ, հայտնում է «Ռենհափ» գործակալությունը։

Ավելի վաղ Սեուլի կենտրոնական օկրուգի դատախազությունը հայտնել էր այն մասին, որ նախագահին կասկածում են կոռուպցիոն սկանդալի մասին գործին առնչության ունենալու մեջ։ Դատախազները չեն կարող նախագահի դեմ քրեական գործ հարուցել նրա իմունիտետի պատճառով, սակայն, ըստ գործակալության, ամենայն հավանականությամբ   նրան կհարցաքննեն որպես կասկածյալ։ Նոյեմբերի 20-ին դատախազությունը պաշտոնական մեղադրանք է առաջադրել Ցոյ Սուն Սիլին՝ երկրի նախագահի ընկերուհուն, որն առնչություն ունի կոռուպցիոն սկանդալին, նաեւ՝ Պակ Կին Խեի երկու օգնականներին։

Հիմնական ընդդիմադիր ուժի՝ Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության առաջնորդ Յուն Խվան Սուկը նոյեմբերի 20-ին հայտնել է, որ հիմա,  երբ նախագահը կասկածյալ է դարձել, օրակարգ է մտնում նրա իմփիչմենթի քննարկումը։

«Նա պետք է ընդառաջ գնա ժողովրդի պահանջին ու կամավոր հրաժարական տա՝ երկիրը դեպի ավելի մեծ ճգնաժամ չտանելու համար»,- մեջբերում է քաղաքական գործչին գործակալությունը։

Այս տեսակետին համամիտ է նաեւ Ժողովրդական կուսակցությունը, որի ղեկավարը շեշտել է, ո ր երկիրը կկարողանա գործել ու առաջ գնալ, եթե նախագահը հեռանա։

Հարավային Կորեայի նախագահի շուրջ քաղաքական սկանդալը բորբոքվել է այն բանից հետո, երբՊակ Կին Խեն հրապարակավ ներողություն է խնդրել այն բանի համար, որ նախագահական ելույթների տասնյակ տեքստեր մինչեւ հրապարակավ ընթերցվելը «արտահոսել են» իր ընկերուհի Ցոյ Սուն Սիլի մոտ։

Բացի դրանից Ցոյը ամենայն հավանականությամբ քաղաքական ճնշումների միջոցով ստիպել էր հարավկորեական կորպորացիաներին գումար փոխանցել իրեն պատկանող երկու ոչ կոմերցիոն հիմնադրամներին։
