Ռուսական НТВ հեռուստաալիքը ռեպորտաժ է պատրաստել հայկական լավաշի վերաբերյալ` ներկայացնելով թխման տեխնոլոգիան ու առանձնահատկությունները: Հայկական լավաշը թխվում է հատուկ ստորգետնյա վառարանում՝ թոնրի մեջ։
«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` հեռուստաալիքը ներկայացրել է, որ շատ երկրներում են լոշեր պատրաստում վառարանների մեջ, բայց հայերը պնդում են, որ միայն իրենց բաղադրատոմսը կարելի է անվանել լավաշ, քանի որ այդ բառը հայկական ծագում ունի։
Դասական հայկական լավաշի բաղադրատոմսը շատ հեշտ է. ալյուր (լավ կլինի ոչ բարձր որակի), ջուր, աղ և մի փոքր կտոր թթխմոր։ Հայերը կարծում են, որ իրենց տարբերակը ամենալավն է, որովհետև այնտեղ չկան խմորիչներ։
Վիտամինային բաղադրությամբ լավաշը պարտվում է սովորական հացն։ Իրականում խմորիչները կարող են վնասել միայն այն մարդկանց, ում նյութափոխանակությունը լավ չի կատարվում։ Իսկ ընդհանրապես դրանք առողջարար են, քանի որ շատ վիտամիններ են պարունակում։
Երևանի շուկայում վաճառողները հաճախակի ջրի կաթիլներ են ցանում լավաշի վրա, որպեսզի թարմություն հաղորդեն, այլապես լոշերը չորանում են և կարող են կոտրվել։
