Նոյեմբերի 18-ին «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժման խորհրդի ղեկավար Արման Վարդանյանը և խորհդի անդամները այցելեցին Սպարապետ Վազգեն Սարգսյանի մորը` Գրետա մայրիկին, եղան նաև Վազգեն Սարգսյանի տուն-թանգարանում:

Օրհնություն ստանալով Գրետա մայրիկից` Արման Վարդանյանը ներկայացրեց «Միասնություն» շարժման նպատակները և դրանց հասնելու իրական ուղիները: 

Ա. Վարդանյանի խոսքով` «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժման շուրջ մարդիկ համախմբվել են` իրագործելու ավագ սերնդի, այդ թվում` Վազգեն Սարգսյանի ընդհատված ազգային առաքելությունը: «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժման հռչակած նպատակներն են՝ բնականոն սերնդափոխության ապահովումը, առողջ մրցակցային դաշտի ստեղծումը, հայրենասեր անհատների, կարող ուժերի ու ինտելեկտուալ ներուժի համախմբումը, պետության կառավարման փիլիսոփայության փոփոխությունը, համազգային միասնության հաստատումը

«Միասնություն» համազգային շարժման նպատակներին հասնելու հիմնական ռեսուրսն այն մարդիկ են, ովքեր կիսում են հռչակած սկզբունքներն ու պատրաստ են պատասխանատվություն ստանձնելու մեր երկրում որակական սերնդափոխություն իրականացնելու ու դրա միջոցով ավելի արդյունավետ պետական իշխանություն ձևավորելու հարցում:

Գրետա մայրիկը, ծանոթանալով «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժման անդամների հետ, լսելով նրանց պատկերացումները մեր երկրի ապագայի վերաբերյալ, մայրաբար օրհնեց, բարության խոսք ասաց և խորհուրդ տվեց` առանց երկրում ատելության մթնոլորտի ստեղծման իրականացնել համաժողովրդական նպատակները. «Ապրե՛ք, տղերք ջան, շատ լավ բան եք անում, արդարության համար եք անում, Վազգենս մեկն էր, դուք շատ եք»,- ասաց Գրետա մայրիկը` հաջողություն մաղթելով «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժմանը:

Հիշեցնենք, որ 1999 թ. ապրիլին Վազգեն Սարգսյանի և Կարեն Դեմիրճյանի կողմից ստեղծվել էր «Միասնություն» դաշինք, որի նպատակը մեկն էր վերականգնել հասարակության կորցրած վստահությունը:
