Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պաշտպանության ժամանակ զինծառայողների կյանքին կամ առողջությանը պատճառված վնասների հատուցման ծրագրի ներկայացման նպատակով անցկացվող հանրային քննարկումների շրջանակում նոյեմբերի 15-ի երեկոյան ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանը ՊՆ վարչական համալիրում հանդիպել է մի շարք լրատվա միջոցների ղեկավարների և ներկայացուցիչների հետ: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից՜

Կարևորելով լրատվամիջոցների հետ նման ձևաչափով հանդիպումները, Վիգեն Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ դրանք հնարավորություն են ընձեռում ամբողջական տեղեկատվություն փոխանցել հասարակությանը թե՛ քննարկվող նախաձեռնության, և թե՛ զինված ուժերին վերաբերող հասարակական հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող խնդիրների վերաբերյալ:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում Վիգեն Սարգսյանը  ներկայացրել է պաշտպանական համակարգում «Ազգ-բանակ» գաղափարախոսության կյանքի կոչման դրույթներն ու առավելագույն արդյունքի հասնելու ռազմավարության հիմնական ուղղությունները, անդրադարձել է մարտական գործողությունների ընթացքում և մարտական հերթապահություն իրականացնող զինծառայողների զոհվելու կամ հաշմանդամություն ստանալու դեպքում պետական ապահովագրական վճարի ավելացման ծրագրին: Պատասխանելով ԶԼՄ-ների ներկայացուցիչների հարցերին` ՀՀ պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը խոսել է նաև զինված ու ժերում իրականացվող աշխատանքների և առաջիկա անելիքների վերաբերյալ, ներկայացրել է զինված ուժերի ձեռքբերումներն ու բացթողումները, մանրամասնել «Ազգ-բանակ» գաղափարախոսության դրույթները: Ընդգծելով, որ «Ազգ-բանակ» գաղափարախոսությունը բնավ չի տանում հասարակության կամ պետության ռազմականացմանը, ավելին` «Ազգ-բանակը» դա այն հասարակությունն է, որը գործում է որպես մեկ միասնություն, Վիգեն Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ միայն բանակի ներուժի լիարժեք օգտագործմամբ` տնտեսության, սոցիալական, հասարակական, կրթական, գիտական և այլ ասպարեզների ներդշնակ փոխգործակցությամբ է պայմանավորված նաև զինված ուժերի մարտունակությունը և պետության անվտանգության ապահովումը:
