«Փաստ» թերթը գրում է.

 Նոյեմբերի 12-ին տեղի ունեցավ «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժման առաջին համաժողովը, որի ժամանակ բացման խոսքով հանդես եկավ նախաձեռնող խմբի անդամ, քաղաքագետ Խաչիկ Գալստյանը: Անդրադառնալով շարժման գաղափարի ստեղծմանը` Խ. Գալստյանը նշեց, որ այն առաջացել է տարիների ընթացքում Հայաստանում կուտակված բազմաթիվ սոցիալ–քաղաքական եւ տնտեսական բնույթի խնդիրներից ելնելով:

 Բացման խոսքից հետո ելույթ ունեցավ «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժման համաժողովի համակարգող խորհրդի ղեկավար Արման Վարդանյանը, ով նախևառաջ համաձայնեց հնչեցված այն մտքի հետ, որ Հայաստանում այսօր առկա են լրջագույն խնդիրներ, որոնց լուծումը պարզապես անխուսափելի է.

 «Սա գաղափարական սերնդափոխություն է: Սա ոչ միայն մեր սերնդի, այլև ապագա սերունդների շարժումն է, բայց այն մարդկանց համար, ովքեր յուրովի ու նորովի են պատկերացնում Հայաստանի զարգացումը: Մենք մեր ավագ սերնդին շատ բանով ենք պարտական, որը մեզ համար իրականում շատ բան է արել. Հայաստանի անկախացումը, երկու հայկական պետությունների կայացումը, արցախյան ազատամարտը, որտեղ ավագ սերնդի ներկայացուցիչները փայլուն հաղթանակ տարան… մենք դարձանք հենց այդ հաղթանակի սերունդը, բայց պետք է խոստովանենք, որ պետության այսօրվա իրավիճակը ցույց է տալիս, որ մեր ավագ սերնուդը մի քիչ հոգնել է, հոգնել է թե´ իր աշխատանքից, և ինչու ոչ՝ նաև պայքարից»,- ասաց նա՝ հավելելով, որ «Միասնություն» շարժումը նոր խոսք է քաղաքականության մեջ, այն ինտելեկտի և ուժի շարժում է, դա մարդկանց շարժում է, ովքեր հավատում են իրենց ուժերին:
