Բաբկեն Թունյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

Գիտե՞ք՝ ինչի 1000 դրամների մասին նյութ չի լինում գրել։ Որովհետև պիտի հաշվարկ անես մեր զինվորների հնարավոր մահերի ու հաշմանդամության դեպքերի վրա։ Մարդկանց ողբերգությունը պիտի քո համար դառնա պարզ թվաբանության հիմք։ Իսկ դու չես էլ ուզում էդ ռակուրսից նայել, չես ուզում մահերի մասին մտածել… Բայց էս նախաձեռնությունը քեզ ստիպում է նախապատրաստվել ինչ-որ վատ բանի՝ մշտական կորուստների։ 
Ինձ համար շատ ավելի ընդունելի կլիներ, եթե քննարկվեր մեր զինվորների աշխատավարձը 2 կամ 3 անգամ բարձրացնելու հնարավորությունը։ Ու էդ բարձր աշխատավարձից որոշ մասը գնար իրենց իսկ առողջության ու կյանքի ապահովագրությանը։
Էլի քննարկեինք, էլի կողմ ու դեմ կարծիքներ հայտնեինք, էլի փողի հնարավոր տեղերի հարցում վիճեինք, բայց... Բայց սենց բերել ու «ազգ-բանակ» գաղափարը նույնացնել ինչ-որ 1000 դրամի հետ, որը նախատեսված է զինվորի մահվան ու հաշմանդամության համար...
Սա իր իրականացման ձևի փնթի ու չմտածված լինելու պատճառով ավելի շատ վնաս է տալու։ Չի կարելի վստահությունից ու մթնոլորտի առողջացումից խոսել ու բերել թեկուզ 1 դրամ՝ առանց հասարակական քննարկման, ՊԱՐՏԱԴԻՐ կերպով փաթաթել նույն հասարակության վզին։
Ոմանք էլ սկսել են հայրենասիրությունը չափել ամսական 1000 դրամ տալու կամ չտալու դիրքորոշմամբ։ Տղե՛րք, եթե դուք խնդիրը դիտարկում եք 1000 դրամի տեսանկյունից, կա՛մ մոլորության մեջ եք, կա՛մ ուրիշներին եք մոլորեցնում։ 
Խնդիրը ուրիշ տեղ է։ Ու էդ խնդրի արտացոլումն է, որ բանակի թեման արդեն սենց անդուր քննարկումների պատճառ դարձավ։ Իսկ «ազգ-բանակ» գաղափարը պիտի, հակառակը, նպաստեր միասնությանը։ Ուրեմն՝ ինչ-որ բան սխալ է, չէ՞։
