Ըստ նորաստեղծ «Միասնություն» շարժման համակարգող Արման Վարդանյանի՝ իրենք նպատակ ունեն արթնացնել ժողովրդին, որպեսզի վերականգնվի ժողովրդի իշխանությունը:
Past.am-ի փոխանցմամբ՝նման կարծիք լրագրողներին նա հայտնեց շարժման հիմնադիր համաժողովից հետո:Վարդանյանը հավաստիացրեց՝ ծրագրերը հաղթող են, իսկ շարժումը ժողովրդինն է:
«Սա վերկուսակցական շարժում է: Մենք չենք ստիպելու, որպեսզի մարդիկ անդամագրվեն»,-ասաց Արման Վարդանյանը: Ա. Վարդանյանը տեղեկացրեց, որ թիմը՝ Արմեն Մկրտչյանի գլխավորութամբ, առաջիկայում գնալու է մարզեր՝ հանդիպելու և լսելու մարդկանց: Շարժման ղեկավարը հերթական անգամ հերքեց քաղաքական տարբեր ուժերի հետ իրենց հնարավոր կապի մասին տեղեկատվությունը՝ նշելով, որ ազգը հասկանում է, թե ով է սրտանց գործում, ով՝ երեկոյան հանձնարարություններ ստանում:
Past.am-ի հարցին՝նոր Ընտրական օրենսգիրքը կօգնի՞, որպեսզի ընտրություններն ավելի արդար լինեն, պարոն Վարդանյանը պատասխանեց. «Անկախ Ընտրական օրենսգրքից՝ կարող ենք փաստել, որ իշխանությունները սպառել են զոռբայության և կեղծիքների ռեսուրսները: Նրանք ստիպված կլինեն գնալ այնպիսի քայլերի, որոնք թույլ կտան, որ ընտրությունները լինեն ավելի թափանցիկ»:
Անդրադառնալով շարժման ֆինանսավորմանը՝ Արման Վարդանյանն ասաց, որ այն ինքնաֆինանսավորվող է և ինքնաբավ: Բանախոսն ընդգծեց, որ «Միասնություն» շարժումը բաց է համագործակցության համար, սակայն շատ քաղաքական ուժեր պետք է ապացուցեց, որ փոխվել են:
